need to fix my own diode laser , bought a lens setup in a housing but its shorter than the distance between laser and brass holder and the lower screwed in part (want to clamp it in between those parts ) i was wondering if theres a ridge in the cooling body that the brass piece buts up against or if i can just press the brass unit down untill i have the distance between the doide holder and crew in fixating piece in the bottom dont realy want to move the whole thing out the back and then back in to check it as it probably will damage the diode (mine is still ok)

@@4EProjectsChannel it was not about replacing the diode but more about how everything was put together i was just wondering how the cooling block holding the NUMB08 is fastened , i since learned that its held in place with a small screw through the back of the aluminium body and its not sitting on a ridge in the hole of said aluminium body like i thought at first i am replacing the lens / focussing unit with an universal setup as the old one has burn markt in its lenses to mount the aftermarket lens setup i need to mount the cooling block lower so the aftermarket lens setup can be clamped in between it and a screw in part that used to focus the laser on the old setup (i since drilled out the focus unit and its lens so its just a clamping device )

you removed the tiny lens in the diode to achieve best precision? just left it with the bigger lens and "more open" screw?
