The NuCanoe U10 would perform well inshore. It is 10'10" long and boasts an impressive 40" width. NuCanoe kayaks are some of the most stable fishing kayaks on the market. They also combine a V-shaped bow to help 'knife' through current and waves. Water safety really comes down to your experience and knowing the limits of your fishing kayak. How do you take on waves, do you have the right safety equipment and what size of waves are you most comfortable with? These all play a role in safety when using a fishing kayak on larger bodies of water. As far as the Newport NK180 and salt water - The Newport motors are all saltwater-ready: The stainless steel and zinc hardware allow for all Newport trolling motors to be used in saltwater. For longevity, we recommend rinsing your motor with freshwater after being used in saltwater. Allowing saltwater to sit on any metal will eventually lead to corrosion.

How stable it is compared to autopilot 12 ? Thank you

A bit difficult to compare, but both are really stable. The U10 is actually 3" wider than the AutoPilot 120, and its open platform allows for a lot of movement in every direction. The AutoPilot 120 is longer and has more weight to it so it can feel really stable, but if you can confidently stand in your 120, you would be able to confidently stand in the U10. The U10 has some advantages over the AP120, like being able to go on skinnier rivers, it is easier to paddle, and it is much, much lighter. Stability is hard to gauge because it is so user-dependent, but again, we are confident that if you find the AP120 stable and are able to move around in it, you would be able to do the same in the U10.
