While I agree about the costumes and sets, I think the writing, pacing and character development of Boardwalk Empire was very scattered and incohesive. I found it rather frustrating to watch the entire series, episodes we'rent meshed together well and every season almost felt like it was a different show that started from scratch.
@balamx2802 Жыл бұрын
@@BrazenBreeds Having read about that period of history previous to watching, maybe our perceptions are different. And since the show spanned the lifetime of its main characters, it makes sense (to me, anyway) that each season would be different. My life in the 70's was a dissimilar to my life in the 80's, for example.

the acting on this show is AMAZING. Michael K. Williams, Stephen Graham, Michael Shannon, of course Steve Buscemi but especially Jack Huston as Richard Harrow. they all put on a clinic.
@kanyefuck70183 жыл бұрын
Shea Whigham is often over shadowed by Shannon - especially as they seem to come for a two'fer - but he's also fantastic in this. He's got a cop/fed face but the depth he gets in BE is great. Kelly MacDonald also, especially considering her pitch perfect Kerry Accent.

Anatol Yusuf as Lansky is great and Michael Stuhlbarg is amazing in everything he's in. His acting on Dopesick is so good .

I don’t Nucky would go that far, not in today’s world with Consequences. (Which, there were a lot less of back then for politicians btw). That photo is faked. It shows Al Capone, Meyer Lansky, and Arnold Rothstein...I think the other person is Waxy Gordon. The real photo shows Capone with bodyguards and a friend walking down the Boardwalk. The fake photo was most likely made at the behest of William Hearst and involved a bit of jealousy on his part involving a woman he liked being friendly with Nucky.
