One suggestion for everyone, go to your military surplus, gun store, or print it off the internet. There is a military guide for NBC (nuclear biological chemical) warfare and survival. Get a copy, the information is easy to follow and will improve your chances of survival even if you cannot afford supplies. I always believe at the very least have a weather radio preferably hand cranked and a survival guide at all times.

Next to isn't the concern; just don't play these tones on a tablet and plug it in to tv/radio equipment, an EAS Endec, or anything that broadcasts anything (this includes "walki-talki" handheld radios) (edit 2023: endecs are fine just don't plug the endec into a real transmitter)

In other words, do NOT play these tones over commercial radio/tv, CB, anything of the sort. And the big no-nos are endecs and broadcasting ANYTHING over 162.400 through 162.550.

Nice scenario but why does it say Jul 31 2007 at 3:31's scene? Does it take place back then? EDIT: WOW. This has to be the most realistic EAS nuclear attack scenario I've ever seen. Thanks for filling in the gap from Matt Yarnold's having to leave the community indefinitely over hardware failure.
