I have a COMPLAINT / CRITICISM About the app.... I started the meditation for the first time in my life seeing your app. I depended on your app for the "Beginner Meditation Series" just to take a step forward to enter into the world of meditation and peacefulness and trying to be consistent atleast for 7 days ( beacuse There is a 7 day course I saw) . I was doing good and won't lie the series was also good but ... In the 6th Day you made it PREMIUM... I mean why ... If you give the rest of 2 days for free then will you loss huge money ??? Compared to that I have lost the energy to do meditation for next many days , got frustrated when in the morning sat in posture just to complete day 6 with a hope and suddenly its showing "It is locked" . This has broken my schedule as well . Just wanted to say that . I face that problem , hope you will do something . Thanks .

'SOP Principle' for Young Aspiring Scientists!!! 👩‍🔬👨🏾‍🔬 (by R. Chidambaram Sir in conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia ) 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 insta-blogging.blogspot.com/2023/02/indian-shaving-companies.html 1. SELF BELIEF:- "There's nothing I can't do in my area of competence" 2. OPTIMISM:- "You must do it, You can do it" 3. PASSION:- "Do it with full force" --------------------- Conversation ---------------------- Rañveer:- [There are a lot of aspiring scientists watching you, उनको क्या advice देना चाहोगे?] R. Chidambaram Sir:- [See ऐसा है कि, Swami Vivekananda की बात कहूं एक?] Rañveer:- [Sure!] R. Chidambaram Sir:- [He said "The old theology was that you are an atheist if you don't believe in god; the new theology is you are an atheist if you don't believe in yourself!" The 1st thing all young fellows should have is SELF-BELIEF. That has been my principle. I stay with the concept 'there is nothing India cannot do'. I belong to an institution BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre) 'there is nothing BARC cannot do within its area of specialisation'; what is the corollary of that 'there is nothing I cannot do in my area of competence', that is what young fellows should know, self belief! "THERE IS NOTHING I CANNOT DO IN MY AREA OF COMPETENCE" Then you have OPTIMISM. "ये कैसे होगा? नहीं होगा; शायद नहीं होगा" सब भूल जाओ! YOU MUST DO IT, YOU CAN DO IT; optimism! PASSION! जो कुछ भी करोगे पुरी ज़ोर से करो, ये आधा-अधूरा कुछ किया, इसमें थोड़ा मुंह लगाया, उसमें थोड़ा; ऐसा नहीं । Self belief, Optimism & Passion this is what young people should have.] ----------------------------------------------------------- Link to the full podcast: lnkd.in/gguw6spW Link to the blog: insta-blogging.blogspot.com/2023/08/sop-principle-for-aspiring-scientists.html

Dr. Chidambaram had inspired a whole generation of Indian Engineers and scientist to work and dedicate themselves to science and the nation. I had a few inspiring interaction with him. Simple , straight forward full of wisdom and anecdotes. It is good to see him that at 87 years of age he is active , remembering those years where his genre of Indian nuclear scientist created a position for India despite scientific apartheid and technology denial regimes of the Cold War era . Expecting more such interactions.

It was great to see RC (as he was affectionately called). I worked for him in Computer Division in the late eighties and early nineties when he was Director of BARC. I implemented the first email server at BARC, which was second institution to have email after TIFR/NCST. This was using Unix computers and UUCP with telephone lines and modems with grand speed of 2400 baud. A simple "hi" would take 20 minutes to download! I remember one Saturday he called me over as there was some issue with email and while I was busy resolving the issue, RC prepared tea with his own hands and brought it to me! Such a nice gentleman who respected and cherished his workforce. If possible, forward this comment to him, he still might remember me.

Chance mile toh nikal is desh se. I'm not saying this out of contempt or anything, but think of it as an elder brother's advice (you seem to be quite young and presently in school/college) - if you want to work in mathematically oriented R&D, then yes, India is a good place to be in. But if you're an experimental scientist instead of a mathematical scientist, you won't get anything (except maybe scoring some useless imaginary brownie points) by staying here. Funding for experimentally-oriented R&D has always been inadequate in India, but Modi 2.0. reduced it even further. In my own case, I don't need to leave India for work-related reasons - I'm a mathematical biologist (I study human physiology), so the only 'infrastructure' I need is computers and access to books on the topic. However, if I was into experimental research, I'd take the first chance to get out of this country and go to some place like Australia where adequate experimental facilities are available. I appreciate your love for India and the drive to do something positive for India. However, our intentions don't matter all that much - 90% of India's population is so subhuman that their votes can be purchased for a bottle of cheap booze; and the politicians (irrespective of party) know this. Do you really believe that the good intentions that the small minority of people like you have, are shared by the people who make and implement laws and policies? I certainly do not; and I have solid reasons for my skepticism. The only way you can contribute to India's R&D story in a positive way by staying in India is by joining R&D start-ups or the R&D departments of big companies. Else, just forget about it. Don't ruin your life for a country that doesn't deserve committed and intelligent patriots. Best of luck for whatever you decide to do ahead in life! Yashasvi bhavah!

@@RAJAT6555 Thanks for your concern bro but I am not a kid. I am in mid 30s! I was just like you, thinking "kuch nhi rakha yha". And I wanted to go to US, silicon valley to be specific. Wanted to enjoy my youth there, enjoy the freedom, quality of life, earn in dollars, and most importantly, make it big. The American dream. I am a software engineer and dreamt of working there and then do my own startup one day and hope to make it into an impactful, big company. I tried several times, through education route, multiple times through work visa, but didn't make it. I had lost all hope of going there and was cursing myself for it because I didn't feel excited about living my life here. I couldn't see myself doing all that here in India. It looked gloomy. But gradually I started accepting my fate. I started looking at the positive side. India has certainly grown a lot in last decade, economically, socially, culturally. Yes we still have a thousand issues, but we are certainly better now overall. We see billion dollar startups now in India which are challenging foreign companies. Entrepreneurship culture is sinking in the youth, even in tier 2 and 3 cities. We are trying to get up our act together in manufacturing as well. We need to show the positive side of India and celebrate our successes to inspire the youth to stay here and build the nation. We need to give people hope and purpose.

Great work ranveer.. india had many Oppenheimers in its history but just they didn't get the resources at that time so didn't get the deserved chance. Even though our great scientists like CV Raman, HJ Bhabha, Vikram sarabhai, Satyendra nath Bose etc had done a great work in their fields and the current generation needs to know about them more and how India gained an important status in the world in limited time post independence. I would like to see podcast covering the details n stories of legendary S. Ramanujan the father of Indian mathematics. People should watch the movie the man who knew infinity if you like Oppenheimer.

I recall my 10th standard days, when we were taught these topics like Isotopes, I was like, wth they are teaching us. But...Now I know, it was just an intro to this fantastic world of Science. Thankyou Sir and Ranveer Bhaiya as well

In future there definitely will be a Nuclear Energy and renewable energies like solar and wind. Now ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) project is under construction in France under contribution of 7 Countries ( India,EU,America,China, Japan,Russia, Korea). Our India has built and delivered CRYOSTAT which is largest part of all parts. I have proud as Indian and I have given my contribution make many parts of it and I also got selected as a Scientific Assistant in IPR( Institute of Plasma Research).

I guess Chidambaram Sir wasn't able to understand the questions clearly as well as express himself clearly in Hindi. Do one podcast with him in English if possible with the same questions.
