Nuclear Crit Cat 3, 6/19/21. Crash at the Finish (

Nuclear Crit in Elma, WA.
Apex rider Adrian and I were both racing without our teams, so we worked together to make this race hard. We dropped over half the field and brought it down to just 7 riders at the finish. Unfortunately I was out of position in the final sprint, taking the 4th corner too far back.
Lead rider goes off road before the line (1:01:00) and crashes into the creek.

Ok I have watched and officiated lots of bike races..but a ditch a water, solo in the sprint,was a first. Is the guy okay? Where is this race..?At the starting line,it was said that it's a full field..so you like to race at the front..I like that..

Yea he was ok, but I believe rung his bell a bit. His front wheel was broken but the frame was ok. I had no teammates in this race and there were a couple stacked teams so I had to do some attacking to thin out the field and give myself a chance at the end. Ended up a bit out of position for the sprint unfortunately
