Fun facts about imaginary numbers! - They’re really useful for looking at situations with multiple variables. You can condense two independent numbers into one unique one, every time, without losing information. - Imaginary numbers exist perpendicular to the number line! That means if 1 is to the right of zero, and -1 is to the left, then i (the most basic imaginary number) is above 0 and -i is below! - Some scientists studying quantum mechanics have found situations in which particles can have imaginary masses, or imaginary angular momentum, or be an imaginary distance from each other, meaning these aren’t just cool tricks, they show up in real life!

Nuclear power is actually very safe and environmentally friendly compared to other fossil fuel energy sources, but major accidents can be really scary.
@fructosecornsyrup57592 жыл бұрын
The only major nuclear accident was Chernobyl though, which directly caused like, 27 deaths? Plus Chernobyl was unique in the way that it was designed. It was created with a specific flaw so that nuclear waste from Chernobyl could be reused to make warheads. Even when they explode, factories today wouldn't do nearly as much damage as people think they would.

@@tylerian4648 Well yeah. What I'm trying to say is that it is a great middle point until we in all likelihood invent or improve a fully green power source that can replace nuclear. Right now, it's the end game, but in the long run, like fossil fuel it will probably be partly phased out in the next few decades for something better.

@leflamewolf2 жыл бұрын
@@slimyduck2140 My bad, I'm trying to keep what I say short because otherwise I will probably ramble on for multiple paragraphs, but I see I'm not explaining very well. While nuclear is not perfect it's leagues better than fossil fuels and as such likely won't be going anywhere any time soon. While thorium reactors will in all likelihood mostly replace uranium reactors, and seeing how nuclear fusion is yet to be viable as a primary power source, and how fission is relieable. while fission will be gone eventially, unlike fossile fuel it probably wount be for a while. Nuclear is far better than fossil in every way, but that's not stoping oil companies, it will probably be the same with nuclear when it's viable for all of humanity to relie on green energy alone. Also I guess this is proof my faith in humanity is almost entirely gone if you see pessimism where I see optomism.
