Thank you, Eric! I took your advice. I have bought the same from Amazon. It cost me £100 and will go with all the other prep stuff I have. The wife doesn't know! She would call in the mental health services to take me away. I have also made and kept a journal with all my reasons, why's and wherefores, so that, when I kick the bucket, ain't long now, the grandchildren will get a little support from this old soldier! God bless you and yours! Stay safe! 💞🙏👍✌️🇬🇧

I bought a Geiger counter about two months ago and after testing that it worked I put it in a faraday bag and it sits in my safe. Knowing that I'm getting too much radiation won't help me as I have nowhere else to go, but if I survived a detonation it would be nice to know when it's safe to go out the door and also to check foods for radiation levels. God help us I hope none of us ever need to use it.

What I was taught in physics in college about radiation and the body is this: our cells are randomly turning cancerous naturally, at a slow rate, slow enough for our immune system to detect and destroy before they spread. But with high amounts the radiation damaging cellular DNA, the number of cancerous cells overwhelms our immune system and then they take hold and grow at a phenomenal rate. This is generally how radiation works to cause cancer, but not how all cancers work.

I’m about to watch this….today I had a nuclear stress test done today and happened to remember I bought this device a year ago at your recommendation. I was shocked that it emits signal of 51,158 cpm over my liver and 15,145 cpm over abdomen, 8,835 cpm over my heart. When I walk out of the room it’s in it takes about 1 min to go to silence with 0 cpm. “They” said the isotope injection goes away 24-72 hours. I didn’t even realize this was a nuclear test till half way through. Doing my best to detox as fast as I can through this night. Now I’ll watch this video. Thanks for providing it. ❤

Thanks Eric, I ordered the GMC-300S model due to budget, it was $54 on amazon. It’s not as good perhaps as the 320 model but from the many videos I’ve viewed on it it looks like it’ll be good. My wife and I have been preparing for years now but anything nuclear has been our weak link and this geiger counter is the first step to correcting that. Anyway, thanks for motivating me to get one 👍🏻😊

Remember that the detector you have has only around 1% efficiency at any distance greater than a foot from a source. Also the reference card can be extremely confusing and is not always correct as it is highly dependent on the source. Overall good explanation but their is a whole lot more to it. Also remember that the time of how long you are exposed is also very important.

Is the device E.M.P. proof? Say you had the device in a farady bag, a nuclear event occurred, how much time would be safely needed before the device could be used (and hope another E.M.P. event didn't happen)?

Here's an interesting tidbit: Only 1% of radiation will make it through 25 inches of Earth and only 1% of radiation will make it through 18 inches of concrete. Also, radiation decreases with the squre of the distance from the radiation. So at 1 foot you get 100% of the radiation. But at 2 feet you only get 1/4th. And at 3 feet you only get 1/9th. And at 4 feet you only get 1/16th. Lastly, radiation intensity decreases with the passage of time so that every 7 fold increase in time radiation will be reduced by a factor of 10. So at 7 hours the radiation will only be 1/10th of what it originally was and at 49 hours it will be only 1% of what it originally was. Increase time, distance, and shielding and you just might survive your radiation exposure.

@peachBloom

Seafood is radioactive. Did you know that in the last months of 2023, that Japan has started dumping radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean from the 2011 Fukushima meltdown? They were storing more and more water over the years to continue to keep the rods cool. They ran out of space and storage tanks, so they're releasing radioactive water, contaminating fish! Even China condemned Japan for this!

Unrelated but you can make a radiation detector with a box, dry ice, and rubbing alcohol to visualize the path of radioactive particles. It's an awesome project if you have kids.

Where can you get one of those radiation meters at
@DrWondertainment821
@DrWondertainment821 8 ай бұрын
@@hildaraaaserude8303 You'd have to make it. There's videos on it that will probably be better to explain just with the visuals but you get a box and put sponges on the inside of that you spray with rubbing alcohol then put in on top of dry ice. It gets so cold that the alcohol can't condense into vapor like at room temp until it's agitated by a decayed particle and the alcohol condenses in the trail. It's actually cool because you can visually see the straight line vs corkscrew shape of beta vs gamma radiation.

Then what can we do? 3- we have a fire place and 2 ventilateurs,1in à bathroom and à stong one in a big room to take outthe cigarette odors and other. @GoshenPrepping the high range unit is only $165. I Watched that guy too. It wasn't him. You are/ were in the milita, y a nuclear expert, right? This guy was saying the minimum reading would peg these meters if a nuclear event was in the area and would be no good. It's been a while since I saw the info, or I could give you a reference. I don't want to discredit anyone. I just want everyone and myself to be the safest possible without spending an arm and leg. Eric, you are great, that's why I'm asking you in a forum.
