The lead singer of this band, Peter Steele, gave a wonderful interview some years ago saying that when his band Type O Negative first started writing songs, the music they created was them "just fooling around". In reality, they had created a new genre of music that could be called powerful metal/vamp music. Peter Steele said although many people may not know this, but the lyrics they wrote were intentionally written as comedy songs. Lead singer Steele was amazed at how quickly their listening audience grew. Still more amazed was Steele when he saw big money quickly coming in for Type O Negative's comedy songs. Steele and his band had created these songs for purely comical purposes, never to be taken seriously. Their fans loved it, even though this intriguing new music seemed more suited for the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, rather than for a Rock n' Roll concert stadium. :) ACCOMPLISHING THINGS WITH 100% SUCCESS Here's how to accomplish almost anything you want, with 100% success; Stick with love for all people, with no anger, hatred or resentment towards anyone, including yourself. Remember that all people are equal under the law, and all people are good deep down inside. T

I was so captivated by the wonderful music I asked the clerk if she knew who was playing on the playlist. Unfortunately she had no idea. I was very disappointed, when the song ended I tried to keep as much of it in my head as possible, 20 years later leaving just a faint whisper or memory. I would think of that music from time to time over the years and would feel sad that I would never get an answer to this eternal question. It was like a bad itch I could never scratch. Whilst cruising KZbin this morning I stumbled on this song and the light bulb illuminated in the deep storage unit of my mind. I finally have the answer!!! Type - O is the first band to make me cry on contact, first listen. There's absolutely zero chill on the emotional weight of this song.

Beautiful old memories of this song - back in the 90s, driving down the highway with my boyfriend listening to all our favorite goth/rock music!! The band sounds amazing in this live version, and even though you can tell Pete wasn't in as great of health, his voice is still gorgeous 💚🖤💚

Absolute Gänsehaut. Ich habe die Band geliebt und höre sie heute noch, wenn auch meist nur wenn es mir gerade richtig dreckig geht und ich mal wieder ein Katalysator brauche um weinen zu können. R.I.P. Pete Steele and Type O -

One of the only bands who actually sound like their albums when playing live! God only if Peet would have survived just imagine what could have been. 😢 RIP Peet you are missed but your music and your presence still live on! 🖤

Goosebumps through this entire song... It has always and will FOREVER always be my favorite Type O Negative song... I tell ya.. there was something magical about this band... what a fantastic moment in time! What I wouldn't give to relive it over again... Thank you to Peter and the rest of Type O Negative for this wonderful music, it's truly one of a kind.. there will never be anything else quite like it. Rest easy, Peter... you are sorely missed.

I saw them perform at a club in my hometown during the October Rust tour. Talk about magical. Even the venue looked magical. I recall some girls in the crowd with a copy of that notorious playgirl issue.

Will never forget them. I had the opportunity back in the 80s driving them around. When I used to be a chauffeur back in the day!💔🖤
