Directed by Ville Lipiäinen.
What better way to conclude the year as to recapture one of its outstanding highlights by revisiting Finnish Symphonic Metal legends NIGHTWISH taking the likewise legendary Wacken Open Air by storm? After being decorated with triple platinum status in Finland as well as gold status in numerous European countries (Germany, Switzerland, Poland, among others) for their most current studio masterpiece »Imaginaerum« and following the highly successful release of their very own fantasy motion picture »Imaginaerum by Nightwish«, the band is closing in its cycle of the `Imaginaerum World Tour´ with a festival triple -- Wacken Open Air being the first of those final shows. The `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2013-2013 visited in 34 countries, consisted of 104 shows with total audience attendance of over 1,5 million fans.
And what would be a better way to celebrate the grand finale as to capture the entire show at Wacken Open Air -- the world's biggest heavy metal festival -- for a live DVD/Blu-ray? The live show in the front of 85 000 screaming metalheads was directed by Ville Lipiäinen, filmed with seventeen cameras and has a total duration of 85 minutes.
Mastermind and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen states:
"The time has come soon to wrap up the magical & memorable one-and-a-half year `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2012-2013! We still have three shows left, one of them being at the legendary Wacken Open Air Metal Festival on the 3rd of August. This show will be something extra special, since it will be released later this year on DVD/Blu-ray, together with a massive `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2012-2013 documentary. Our darling flying Dutchwoman, Floor Jansen, has been nothing but incredible during her time in Nightwish on this tour, so this is a perfect opportunity to immortalize the current vibe of the band on film! "
The second disc consists of 120-minute tour documentary 'Please Learn The Setlist in 48 Hours', with no short of drama or overall madness. Also, there is a 16-minute NIGHTWISH Table Hockey Tournament, filmed on tour. On top of this there are two music clips: 'I want my tears back' (Live at Hartwall Arena) and 'Ghost Love Score' (Live in Buenos Aires).
DVD 1 Track List:
01. Dark Chest Of Wonders
02. Wish I Had An Angel
03. She Is My Sin
04. Ghost River
05. Ever Dream
06. Storytime
07. I Want My Tears Back
08. Nemo
09. Last Of The Wilds
10. Bless The Child
11. Romanticide
12. Amaranth
13. Ghost Love Score
14. Song Of Myself
15. Last Ride Of The Day
16. Outro (Imaginaerum)

My favorite song to sing live is Ghost Love Score! On my first tour with Nightwish I started to sing the ending differently, to add something to it. Then there was a concert DVD [2013’s Showtime, Storytime] showing this, and everyone wanted to keep hearing the new ending. It suddenly became a ‘thing’ - there was expectation, so it became special for me. Thank you everyone!

Thank you! for taking an already perfect song and taking it to a new dimension. -and you do that with most, if not all of your performances. There are 7+ billion people in the world. Most of us would be happy to be the right piece that completes a puzzle. It's awe inspiring to see that it's possible to not just be a piece that can finish the puzzle, but you can also add a glossy finish & a sculpted frame to it. You & Nightwish - Please keep making that beautiful music for the soul

As a guitar player myself, I really respect their guitarist that don't go over the top and not trying to show off with some fast shredding and riffs. Guitarists have big ego. But he's not. He knows his place as musician, and as a result, he makes beautiful music. If that makes sense.

In other words, he is playing for the song, not for himself. The entire song is an epic arrangement, and an over-the-top guitar solo might overwhelm or overpower in the wrong way. This solo was quite laid back, but sounds 100% intentionally crafted to match the mood and atmosphere of the whole song as one entity.

easy to digest is the TZerm. Thats nothing Metal will ever be. SO, Taylor Swift, as talented as She is, will always get the Money with 10 Words, and 4/4 Chorus/Verse/Chorus/Bridge/Chorus, 3 Minutes -End. Pppl dont want to invest in Music, they want to digest, easy and fast. Thats Pop, and it got its very mercantile Place in our western Culture. Symph Metal, Classical Music, and many other Niche-Variations(in term of Listeners/Money grossing) mostly got in Common, that they are not resolving by the first Listening. So, no Airtime, mostly play on special Stations. Thats modern fast Life, and i doubt we can change this. OH, My God!!!!!!!!! I am 60. I have jammed too many Metal Bands over the years. (Live in the Midwest USA). I have about 70 favorite KZbin Videos from various metal bands I listen to. Since I have found Nightwish, I can say I haven't listened to any other bands on my favorite list in months and I have one CD in the 4runner. This concert is on CD. There is nothing better than the performance, energy, musical rhythm, Floor's unreal stage presence and control of the crowd, and overwhelmed voice presence. It's unreal. Magical sound from the whole band. Even though the band has changed a bit since this show, it's still topped!!!!!! I bow my head to all of you!

He is btw. also responsible for management and other background stuff, wich he kept doing during his break. And to stay with the background work and retiring from performing was his own decision after his health improved so much off-stage. His fill-in is now an official band member. As for the singer: Tarja is a solo artist. She always was and you could tell that from the very beginning when you went to concerts. It was like 'Nightwish & Tarja'. They didn't even practice together. It was the success that made them stay together. And when they finally separated, the guys wanted Floor to beginn with. But meh. Floor's stage presence and charisma is untouched and sets her miles above any other right now, and that isn't saying anything about her voice. People keep calling Floor a siren but I think that sells her short, she is a metal valkyrie here gracing us with her gifts.

Floor Jansen is the female equivalent of Freddie Mercury. I say this as a life long Queen fan. I’m almost 60 now, I never thought I’d ever, in my lifetime, find another artist who had the talent, the stage presence and commanded the audience like Freddie. Floor is absolutely compelling, spellbinding, you can’t take your eyes of her. Once you have seen her and heard that voice, there’s no going back. This band as a whole is EVERYTHING! 💙

Floor 🌹 Jansen. The woman in whose voice there is no guile. Look, I don’t know anything about classical music, or head registers or classical trainings and all that. I like Tarja, she’s great. I like Annette. She’s fun. But I’ll never ever never forget the day I downloaded After Forever’s “Energize Me” from Kazaa. I was on a post-evanescence rush. Fell hard for Lacuna Coil and then came the beast mode Nightwish. So I was on the lookout for more femme-fronted bands. Listened to Energize Me and my ears, my head, my mind, my belly did all sort of flip-flops and cartwheels. Floored I was. 19 or so at the time.Nightwish, though. The oceanic band that never truly leaves me. This song, this band, this composer, THIS woman are one of the best and grandest things to come out of planet earth. 🌍It’s like she’s singing for Kings Magistrates and Dignitaries. Gives it her ALL. And all I’m gonna say is, she truly earned her throne in this band. And all that love from the people. She has served her magnetic voice like a servant though she herself is a Queen. There’s lots of awesome great and fun bands, then there’s Nightwish. Tuomas is too deep, too profound. And if you connect with his music and lyrics, there’s a profound oceanic reason for that, my loves. What he composes is but a glimpse of divine and heavenly beauty. Only a glimpse heard and seen through a glass darkly. Proverbs 18:16 A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. 🎁 That’s Floor. That’s Nightwish. 🕊️👑✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

I think what makes this song so tear inducing is the fact that you can clearly tell she isn't just singing a song, she is really _feeling it._ Like, it's easy to sing lyrics, but to understand and to really feel the music and what the song is about, that is rare. Most music on the radio is supposed to sound emotional, but you can clearly tell the singer just wants to sing the song as technically sound as possible. In this, it feels as if she doesn't even care about the singing aspect. She has something to express and she does it. That's what makes this so incredible.

BUT this song, this voice directly speaks to something deep inside me, which I didn't even know its existence anymore and it's answering with tears everytime. I'm not mad about it.
