I'm so glad Marko still finds joy in performing. I won't lie and say I don't miss seeing him with Nightwish, but I'm even more glad he is putting himself first now. He definitely deserves more than being a back up vocalist most of the time. He gave as much as he could to Nightwish, now it's time for him

Actually Tuomas was saying (prior to Marko leaving) that Nightwish would not be able to survive his departure. This would indicate that he was much more important than a "backup vocalist" :/ lol

Agreed with most of your words - Personal health should always come first. But as mentioned already, Marco is and never was a "back up vocalist". Everyone of the Nightwish crew knows this. In fact they are very sad, that he (had to) left and they all hope he is coming back one day. Nightwish is doing well without him, but they're better with him, than without.

Yep! When he fell off his perch and railed against the world AND Nightwish; it was apparently because the (anxiety?) Medication he was on was wrong! He explains all on here at a back-stage interview (at a metal festival) and says he is fine now! I actually prefer him solo, to be honest! Marko ROCKS! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
