+Braen Helbarn I think it might be a story about a journeyman traveling to the north (nordens land) so it is likely that it is scandinavia where nymphs are a common creature in folk lore. They are often depicted as beautiful but shy women hiding in caves near ponds and creeks, they have a cows tail but keep it hidden, they are often told to be so beautiful they make men get lost and die of starvation in the woods searching for them as they hide the shame of their tail that was a punishment from god. The chorus sort of sums up this as well which I guess you can translate to "Bloodshot eyes, on wounded knees, I sank down and Saw her" The theme is somewhat the same but a bit darker and I thik it fits the folk music theme better.

Had to check this out being my first exposure to this band was somebody sharing the hilarious new weird poppy music video they just made and everybody was in shock. Now I see why, this(Blut im Auge) is good epic music, “path to whatever” is boring effortless commercial stuff. Experimentalism is great, but it’s hardly experimental when you are bringing yourself closer to sounds already ultra popular, experimentalism is supposed to bring you further from popular sounds into unexplored territory not into commercially viable fecal matter.

lol used to be a metal head back in school, all my mates had long hair and any time someone put this song on on the loudspeaker, everyone would have to get ready, because as soon as 2:50 came everyone would have to stop conversation or whatever they were doing and spiral head bang the whole way to 3:44, and spin the fuck out after. @@lanrob7088 You're right, I totally agree with what you said. I'm not seeking attention though, I'm just stating how I felt, and I shared it here as I was sure other people felt the same. I'm not bashing the bands new artistic direction. I just prefer their early stuff, as I do with bands like Opeth, In Flames or Morbid Angel.

Mit 16 auf dem MP-3-Player gehabt, mit 29 immer noch ein Brett von einem Song und einer der Gründe, wieso ich Metal treu bleibe, auch wenn mit dem Alter der Geschmack etwas sanfter wird :) Gottes Segen euch allen, v.A. euch jungen Leuten. Ich war damals voller Hass und Verzweiflung, in ein unverständliches System geworfen, gezwungen zu leben, Anti-Religionsunterricht, Anti-Glücklich, Anti-Alles..... Ich wünsche euch wirklich, dass der Herr euch mächtig segnet, denn in der Bibel steht, dass ein junger Mensch ruhig eine Weile in seinem Gram sitzen soll, das formt den Charakter. Ihr wisst nicht, wohin euer Leben führen soll? Wohin die Reise geht? Sie führt zu dem dich liebenden Gott YHWH und seinem Sohn, deinem KÖNIG YESHUA! Und der Heilige Geist ist bereits in deinem Leben, die gute Stimme im Hinterkopf, die wir ob der harten Erfahrungen gern verlernen zu hören. Möget ihr alle euer Glück im lebendigen Gott Israels finden und Katholiken und Kirche ihre Sünden begehen, dazu müsst ihr gar nicht gehören, ihr müsst nur zu Gott gehören! Nicht zu einem System!!! Die Liebe die euch bereits in diesem Leben erwartet, übersteigt alles, was ich mir mit 16 noch habe vorstellen können. Mein Leben ist übrigens immer noch ein Kampf und eine Einöde wie nach einer Schlacht, aber ich habe 15 Jahren heftige Depressionen überstanden und Gott hat mich gerettet. Möge er mit euch sein und euch segnen!
