I've seen these guys twice. The first time was in atlanta in 201. The second time was in Jacksonville at welcome to rockville. When they sang this song the bottom fell out of the sky and it poured. The look on Howard's face was of pure awe and appreciation. Not a single person in the crowd left to find shelter and then they continued their set in the pouring rain. It was an amazing experience that I'll never forget.

man, i tried my hardest to get into Devil You Know material but as much as i love Howard (far and away my favorite singer in metalcore) i was pretty lukewarm on a lot of the material. this rename to Light The Torch seems to also come with something of a shift in terms of the overall quality of the music, because man the two songs we have so far are both fucking incredible. i am dying for the full album. i kind of felt like i had to force myself to listen to most of DYK stuff. this is like, classic Howard, just awesome.

Howard just said a few weeks ago that he really tried to have more Melody and more of a uplifting sound on the new stuff. Since they have a new name and drummer I guess he figured it was a good time to change things up

YES!!!!!!! the overproduced/trying too hard DYK sound was a big part of why i just couldn't get into those albums. and why on earth would you apply effects to Howard's voice, who IMHO has the best pound for pound clean metalcore voice in the whole scene?! i usually like a pretty even distribution of screams and cleans, but just the tone of Howard's clean voice is so much better than most stuff you hear that even if he did NOTHING but cleans i would still probably go nuts for it. this album seems like it is gonna rule. i am fucking excited!

I prfer DYK actually. It's a lot more raw and They Bleed Red is just awesome. The new iteration sounds a lot lighter and just cookie-cutter by the numbers metalcore. Die Alone was a MASSIVE step down from the likes of Consume The Damned or The Way We Die. This song is okay though, but still meh.
