@@jackwoods535 I always go to the back of the town, behind the area for the tourists. There you see broken-down houses and dogs - but no people. The tourists also stay away. It is sad, but I feel compelled to do it.

@@txrick4879 I suggest you also visit the area behind the business area. Now, it may not be terribly safe. Personally, I I don't care. But you can see what it looks like on Google Maps.

I have never been asked for and ID. Going back into the U.S., however, you technically need either a passport or birth certificate. However, I have gotten through with just my driver's license at times.

I went there in August and damn it seem like they went up on prices on everything compared to last year and it’s like a 30 percent price hike it seemed kinda dead compared to other years

I actually encourage them to increase prices when I am there. lol. I think they are hurting themselves. However, I doubt that I am the reason for the increase in prices.

@@MarkbyMarkAFosterPhD my grandma lived there years ago it was much more nicer even if the roads were crappy as kids we were able to roam around and go to the corner stores my dad’s friends barbershop 💈 only charged us 3 bucks for a haircut people go there for cheaper stuff now it seems like they are kinda price gauging 😂

I heard Nuevo Progreso changed allot ...the street vendors were moved to the back n the prices have been on most off the stuff went up ..

Just saw your video. I go there for dental health and shopping & eating. Since I have been going there for the past 20++++ years there has been no police of any kind. I wonder if defunding the police in america may look like this.
