I'm old enough to have seen a few of the greatest players in the world. The best by a mile was Maradona. Second was Georgie Best and Peter Beardsley is in 3rd place. Not bad for a lad from Longbenton like me. Every time those players got the ball they made something special happen.

My all time favourite LFC player. You can trace the decline of Liverpool in the 90s back to Souness selling him to one of our deadliest rivals in Everton instead of building a team around him
