After a couple of years of restoration, Nugget has finally brought his 34-year-old 1990 Suzuki DR650 R Dakar back to his shed. Join Nugget as he meets up with Clubby and Dave to discuss the build process and what this project means to him. This bike is not staying in the shed collecting dust. Nugget will be heading out to Cameron Corner with Dave and Clubby on a 10-day motorcycle adventure later this year. Love these old bikes from an era when quality and reliability mattered.😊 They even had the right look. Non of these new fancy toys that need to be serviced every other hour will ever compare to or survive as long as the 80s-90s DRs, XRs XLRs, TTs, XTs and KLRs. These old bikes have the right look, feel and sound. And one could fix everything in the outback. Todays toys a sensor goes bad and you are stranded. I would never put my money on a computer on 2wheels. Really love Nuggets entusiasm and feelings for these classic bikes. Looking forward for the upcoming adventures with Nugget on this bike.

AWESOME! Totally AMAZING! I have a 2011 that I ride the 💩 out of. If I had that old jewel, I'd wet myself with excitement every time I slung a leg over it. The only downside- no electric start. But that's the beauty of "vintage." Great Bike!!! 🏁

Nugget when you come to the States I'd like to ride with you & Dakar Suzzy. I ride all over Michigan on a 1990 Yamaha XT. Here in Michigan we have over 4000 miles of ORV trails. 36,000 miles of dirt roads. We also have a little thing called the, CCCT. LET'S RIDE! Please leave those short short at home. 😮

Sweet bike I still have my 1991 dr250 there is a trick to the decomp but its hard to explain I just keep kicking it mid stroke decomp closes and fires right up one of the easiest bikes to kick over once you get used to it
