I dug one of those swastika's here in Missouri, it was actually a reverse swastika which was a sign of good luck in the old days, some good luck tokens have them as well
@nuggetnoggin18 сағат бұрын
That's interesting, yeah it may be older then! Considering I found it in a 1700s to 1820s site. I know they did use that logo prior to the 1930s and it was meant for peace. So possible I have an old relic maybe. Thanks for watching!

@@nuggetnogginon my last day mudlarking in the Thames a couple months ago I found and kept two Indian clay lamps with good luck swastikas on them. So awful that the meaning of the ancient symbol was twisted.

I wonder if that piece could have been from India. It was a common symbol there before World War 2 and I've seen several relics from India that incorporated it.

It would of been a 500 flat button, 30 coin site if I was the first one there lol. I'm also a hard hunter and i'm searching beside all the trees, under bushes and really searching the places further out from the house site where they didnt look. The big brass thing could of definitely been a belt buckle, but it was fairly deep and I'm sure it got missed. Still could be a good coin left in there but the signals are getting scare. Thanks for watching!

If You Give a Digger a Detector If you give a digger a detector, he’s going to head out to the woods. When he gets to the woods, he’ll decide to look for an old colonial home site. When he finds a good signal, he’ll start to dig. When he starts to dig, he’ll realize he left his big shovel at home. Since he left his big shovel at home, he’ll make do with what he has. When he finally gets the target out, he’ll be excited… until he sees it’s just a musket ball. But if he finds a musket ball, he’ll want to keep looking for something better. So he’ll keep digging, and when he gets another signal, he’ll be sure it’s a coin. But when he finally pulls it out of the dirt, it will just be a washer. Since it’s just a washer, he’ll keep looking. When he finally finds a flat button, he’ll feel a little better. But if he finds a flat button, he’ll want to find a silver coin. When he gets another strong signal, he’ll get really excited. When he digs it up, he’ll find a shotgun shell. But if he finds a shotgun shell, he’ll check the hole again, just in case there’s something better. And if he checks the hole again, he might just find an old colonial shoe buckle! Since he found a shoe buckle, he’ll want to find a spoon. And if he finds a spoon, he’ll remember he hasn’t found a musket ball yet. When he finally finds a musket ball, he’ll start thinking about all the history buried in the ground. When he starts thinking about history, he’ll want to keep digging. And if he keeps digging, he’ll find a beautiful old button. Since he found a button, he’ll want to find a silver coin. And when he finally digs up a coin, he’ll be so excited… Until he sees that it’s just a modern penny. If he finds a modern penny, he’ll sigh, shake his head, and keep looking. When he gets home and lays out all his finds, he’ll admire the buckles, buttons, and spoon handles. But he’ll still wish he had found a real colonial coin. And if he still wishes he had found a real colonial coin… He’s going to head back out to the woods with his detector.

The swastika is before Germany, it's a symbol of protection and peace depending on who owned it. It's all over the middle Eastern stuff ,.and other countries used it as well. So it makes sense to find it in a 1700s Homesite ..

its a common symbol used for thousands of years to symbolize well-being and good fortune. A certain group decided to use it in the 1930's and now that symbol in the west is seen as bad but in the rest of the world it is still seen as the original symbol that it has been for thousands of years. Only the west sees it as a bad symbol.

Hi, the wheel of life is not the same as the swastika, which is rotated to be at an angle. It represents the "wheel" or cycle of life and was popular as a symbol in many countries before the Nazis gave it ruinous reputation. The symbol is still used today on maps in asia to denote temples, and on religious officer's uniforms in the ROK armed services. God bless.
