For sure, it shows you patience is definitely needed in this hobby. You can miss a rare find by an inch. Other days you find it in seconds with no problems. This time though I had to dig all the trash first haha

I found the class ring of my friend's wife about 15 years after she lost it. It took less than an hour and was about 3 to 6 inches underground. She was there when I found it. She and her whole family were incredulous and thrilled!

A few years ago a buddy of mine’s son was killed in a car accident. In the accident the kids NCAA National Football Championship ring was flung from his hand into a muddy field. After several hours of searching, no luck. The morning of the funeral a deputy sheriff took his metal detector out into the mud and found it. In the middle of the service this mud covered deputy sheriff clomped into the church with his equally muddy K9 partner. The muddy dog had the ring on a string around his neck. Hopped into my friends lap and presented the ring. Not a dry eye in the church, my house too right now. Keep up your good works sir, it is appreciated.

I found my Father in-laws wedding band Last year, after hunting for 9 years for it, it had been lost 13 years prior, what a hand drop that was!!! He lost it cleaning out a rock trap in his Combine. 14k wedding band, 67 on the garret At max as well. Best find and the reason I started metal detecting in the first place!! Congrats on the find!

This is a testament to your advanced skills. With all that metal debris, it was really a needle in a haystack...flying blind with the murky water with nothing but raw experience and intuition to go by. That persistence and diligence made for a happy couple and a feeling of accomplishment for the detector.
