(thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

Man Nugget, I love watching your videos. One thing though even out in the woods you should fill in your holes. I could see where you were saying I dug a hole right there, hole right there...and so on. Please watch that you do not give MD'ing a bad name by not filling in your holes. We need to preserve our hobby that is being taken away in certain states. Otherwise I really enjoy watching your vids.

no i always cover my holes.. its hard to cover my hole and record at the same time.. when i cut the camera off i cover my hole..

nice vid thanks. A little tip..if you dig your holes with vertical sides rather than at an angle it should prevent you damaging your finds with the spade.

If you go to the garret website, they will have a chart for their detectors and their uses. He uses the garret at pro its problably the most versatile one, but if youre going to go water, you need a specific under water proof type of metal detector. I would also recommenend the ace 350

Could that 3blade propeller pin be connected to the Civil Air Patrol? Very active in 40's.I seem to recall a 3-blade was part of their logo. Yes, I am that old that I remember the 40's well.

That pin is made of silver and I believe it represents an aero club. As usual with me, I appreciate that cool token you found. If you have 2 Pro-pointers, how come tou're not using them to make your task a whole lot easier? Yup! You definitely need a new pair of boots, and hopefully before you trip up in those old ones :) Great video as usual, thanks for sharing your hunt. GL & HH :D

@eliden i got my shovel from predatortools . com. goes for around $79. it is called the RAVEN and it will now break. made from virgin high grade molly steel or something like that.

If your pinpointers a Garrett ? Give Garrett a call and ask for Sue Tell her whats up with the pointer and send it in.. I had one I broke and called Garrett to send it in. They fixed it real quick and sent it back to me no charge. They have awesome customer service at Garrett.

Cool token, nice going on the silver. Does the Alum come up in the coin range? I usually try not to dig signals I don't believe are coins. Don't get me wrong I do dig them but I never dig everything. If your going to do that then just get a Bounty Hunter.

Is your boot coming apart? Careful you dont trip on something. Better ask Sana to bring a new pair. Like the pin, thats history there too. All that neat stuff has a history about it..peoples lives from long ago brought to light once more. very cool. Son and son in law both have detectors now. Once i get mine were gonna hunt togther. Cant wait.!

I noticed you said that you had an f75 and I've also noticed that your newer videos are all of you using an at pro. Would you say the at pro is a better detector ?

I owned an F75 and it was very chattery, and not as stable as the ATPro. I have owned lot's of metal detectors and the ATPro is a great machine and in my extensive use of both machines the ATPro is better, but I really miss my Minelab ETrac that I had to let go of years ago. astore.amazon.com/durhamexchang-20

had it fixed many times ? what was the issue with yours,, first one i bought had falsing,,but garrett sent me a new motherboard wich i changed my self,,looks totaly different on b3 rev of the board.. and it has been stabile ever since then :)

He most likely went back and filled the holes. I was on a piece of property and the owner said I didn't need to worry about backfilling because it was just a cow pasture, but I told him that I would always backfill a hole.

nugget, I've got a simple problem. i can get a great signal yet when i dig i never find anything even with my pin pointer. Can you tell me what im doing wrong.? I'v'e found a lots of coins but sometimes my signal gives me a false reading ...please help.

i have had the same issue. I have found that a lot of times the item is so small that I miss it with the pin pointer, yet when I sweep again the Pro still detects it. So I have begun to be meticulous with the pin pointer and have found very tiny tiny pieces of metal that I had been missing. The AT Pro is that sensitive. Last night I found a tiny tiny lead piece of what I think was from a pellet gun. It gave a very strong signal, it wasn't until the pin pointer was right on it that i was able to chase it around till I found it! i am also thinking I may need to change the batteries in the pin pointer.

It is around $600.00 now on ebay, I had both the ace 250 and ace 350 and a Garrett gti 2500 and really like the ace 250 the best..which was the cheapest one at around 220.00.

tressinar Not always...there is NO detector made that can 100% identify everything..my Bounty Hunter Platinum Pro..shows FOIL where there is gold...it is just the way it is...The instruction manual for my BH says "The target indications are visual references. Many other types of metal can fall under any one of these categories. While the detector will eliminate or indicate the presence of most common trash items, it is IMPOSSIBLE to accurately classify ALL buried objects."
