Me and my friend Abby went metal detecting around a few abandoned houses. The first place didn't produce much but the 2nd site was a treasure trove ! it was amazing ! ,We were pulling up floor boards and finding coins, marbles and buttons . Check out the video ! By the way we detected for 8 hours , Abby is one hardcore relic hunting country girl. If any of yall can think of a relic hunting nickname for her that would be nice, I have a few in mind, just need some ideas. Thanks for watching !

That is a good way to put it! I'm 12 I do this as a hobby. If u want your child to have fun get him a bounty hunter metal detector! I have one and it work if u take care of it! Just don't let him at your lawn or it will be dug up. I have past experiences.

i live on lake erie in Michigan and walk the beach everyday I'm a huge collector of sea glass and Beach finds, marbles found in the ocean and lakes are a huge deal for sea glass collectors it's one of our absolute favorite things to find

Me and my grandfather collected coins throughout my life since I was 6 or 7 all the way up to the day he passed away. So seeing all these videos of coins and things makes me want to get back into coin collecting. especially since I moved to alaska not to long ago and the small town I live in has a bunch of old abandoned houses from the 20's and 30's. So I might have to start digging.

Toward the end of the civil War, because of the shortage of lead, the South sometimes used ceramic rifle balls, that look much like a clay marble. A caliper will tell you if it is a caliber popular in that era. I find them just walking the alleys of my old southern town.

When we did it Nugget, we didn't have the luxury of havin a metal detector. Back in the 1970's, most of our neck of the woods was farmland and finding the dumps for the farmhouses was pretty easy. Wildest thing I found was an old stand up piano in one of them old houses.... that was next to the old end of the line railroad station long abandoned in Gough, GA. Someone smashed up the keys but still.. and old piano from the 50's. No value. Might be fun if you had a trebuchet to launch it in the air. I bet its still there today. Something that was too heavy to move when they left. Next to it is an old empty general store someone tried to setup in the 70's and it probably only lasted a year and failed. Probably nothing much for coins there at all. Didn't have a metal detector back then but I do now. If only I knew exactly where the station was on the property... I can kind of guess. Marbles were cheap dollar store type toys of the old days... not terribly fun to play with, so kids let them roll everywhere. They probably just had a bag of them and dumped them out on the floor.. I find marbles all over our old farm because I shot them everywhere with a slingshot.

I did a lot of urban exploration with my husband back before it became "all the rage" (around 2008-10 but I didn't hunt relics, I was more interested in finding paranormal things with my digital camera. I developed a good "eye" for things that we normally can't (or don't) see and I see a lot of those "things" in your video here. I'm sure there are some others who can see them as well but those who can see usually keep quiet since people tend to think we are "woo-woo." Lots of faces all around you watching you and your friend.

Hi Michael, the first little 'bottle' you found looks like a small cream bottle. I have an entire set of them from my Mother in law. When they separated the cream from the milk, they put the cream in these little vessels to use in coffee!

The reason because of all the green weeds and plants around the houses is because of all the brass. Brass helps plants grow larger and stronger. Even makes more plants just sitting there!
