Nikola Jokić and Jamal Murray each finished Game 3 of the NBA Finals with a triple-double in the Denver Nuggets 109-94 victory over the Miami Heat. Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, and Kevin Wildes debate if the Nuggets proved why they should be favorites in this game.

@anddanny2263 ...because the argument that team wins should affect player rankings is completely outdated and primitive. What if Joker plays perfect in the next few games and they still lose? Also defense was so different and no 3 point plays. Assists were counted way different. Once a player put the ball on the floor it was not an assist. Do not compare generations as it is impossible. All the dribbling you see today was traveling back in the day. Or palming or carying it over. You do not hear those terms anymore. Also you can travel today. It’s a team game casual. MJ LeBron Kareem Hakeem Big O combined when they didn’t have good TEAMS around them were still amazing in playoffs and made only 2 finals (LeBron 07/18 then got swept in both finals understandably) in like 35 combined years, but Jokic was supposed to make the finals without Murray last 2 years or MPJ last year and the worst bench in NBA?!?! GTFOH Jokic 2023 Playoffs on 1 of 5 🐐 runs! #1 in ALL Playoffs in POINTS ASSISTS REBOUNDS (1st player EVER to have most POINTS ASSISTS REBOUNDS in single playoff! Wilt Russell Kareem Moses Bird Hakeem Shaq Duncan LeBron 5x the only others to lead in 2 of 3!) WIN SHARES PER BPM WS/48 Last 3 years in what easily could of been 3 straight MVPs he AVERAGED 26, 12, 9, 2stocks on insane 59/37/83, best analytics by far, best on/off by far! He’s undoubtedly Top5-25 somewhere in terms of what he’s done from 20-28 years old from an individual accomplishment stand point, statistically, playoff riser, analytically, all around game. It’s a TEAM game that’s why Jokic only had 1 WCF before 28 years old. He was still an awesome 26, 12, 6, 2stocks 52/40/82 in nearly 50 playoff games. Murray been hurt last 2 playoffs as was MPJ last year. They had no bench. Even this series they still could lose if KCP MPJ continue to shoot 20% from 3 instead of their normal 40% (they’re 5-26 so far from 3 or they’re up 3-0 if they are their normal 10-26 to 12-26 selfs!). MJ first 6 Playoffs was 24-29 in playoff games and never made a finals also. Was 0-5 vs Celtics Pistons even though he was mostly elite in playoffs. TEAMS win titles not individual players! If KCP MJP were their normal 10-26 to 12-26 from 3 selfs in Finals instead of horrid 5-26 Nuggets up 3-0 right now! Those 2 still need to step up bc if they keep shooting that bad they can def lose 2-3 more games unless Miami super cold also from 3 which you can’t count on. Giannis & Jokic have both had great arguments as best player in NBA the last 3 years (LeBron had argument in 19-20 and 20-21 pre Solomon Hill injury through 42 games but def not last 2 years since), Jokic just finally has a healthy/good team now around him!

Nick is going to ride this BS "the Nuggets can't adjust" to his grave. He said the same thing after Denver beat the Lakers in game one of the WCF..."LA should be encouraged even in a loss, because Denver can't play defense, the the Lakers can make adjustments while Denver can't change anything" and they swept the f'ing Lakers. Hey Nick...maybe, just maybe, the Denver coach is also a pretty good coach

Nick’s stat about Jokic being 1-8 over the two post seasons without Murray is wrong. Nick is only counting the series’ denver lost. Denver beat the trailblazers 4-2 in one of those years so Jokic had 5 wins in those runs without Murray (not 1).

No idea why Jokic gets raked over the coals for losing in the first round to the eventual champs but Giannos gets praised for losing to Boston

Jokic is showing he individually cannot be stopped. He is the best player in the world now. Also don't look at FG% to show how efficient a player is. Look at TS% or even eFG%
