Hey Bill, I just found your channel here, and I really enjoy it! I have a sincere question, maybe you can help me out. My buddy and I are hunters of many things, relics, artifacts, etc. and one thing we hunt for specifically for.meteorites. We are looking to buy a couple metal detectors, and we have settled on that they should be minelab machines. My question is, is the Gold Monster a remarkably better machine than the Equinox 800? If so, what advantages are there for one over the other? Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!
@NUGGETSHOOTER5 жыл бұрын
If you looking to do it "all" with one detector then go with the Equinox 800 as it is excellent at sniffing out small and larger gold and is a killer coin/relic detector. The GM 1000 would be difficult to work as a coin/relic detector, but will work. It mainly for gold only hunting. Hope this helps. Have them in stock as well....

I have had bounty hunters and Garrett detectors in the past. I’m looking for the best all around detector for nugget hunting. I live in Southern Oregon and the areas I hunt the ground is highly mineralized. I plan on joining the LDMA here in the next few weeks. I’d also like to get a solid gold detector. I’ve researched the GPZ 7000... Would that in your eyes be a better detector for all around? Hey Bill,....I've never seen anyone (other than you) who persists-in-using a plastic scoop for "trying-to" scrape-down-into hard,-tight,-semi-solid bedrock to get to a target, instead of utilizing an angled screwdriver!!! Wow, your'e giving professionalism a bad image here!!!! I'm only mess'n with ya,...and I'm not trying to brag, nor give ya a hard time, ...but I always carry and utilize three different sizes (widths) of angled screwdrivers ( for various sizes of crevices), and two different sizes of straight screwdrivers for prying bedrock (one is an ice pick for very narrow crevices). These are my "go-to-first" tools that I grab, long-before I ever grab for a scoop. Course, maybe I dig down much deeper than you , as most of my nuggets come from well-compacted mud/clay mixture where the nuggets are wedged down very deep within the cracks and crevices (4 to 6" down within) all-of-witch is usually-covered with 2-to 3 ft of overburden;.....I don't mind dig'n as long as I know there's a few nuggets down that deep. I like your video's,.... I might try videoing a few of my own. Gary
