Guys, there is one rule of adding CG muzzle flash to pistol shooting - the flash should be slightly larger than the pistol itself.

Hi guys, in a full 3d pipeline is there a point doing these kind of effects in comp or should I learn to do it in 3d? What's your take on it? Thanks!

I assume it depends on the project or the shot. I would say you would have faster turn around to do muzzle flash FX in comp, because you don't need to re-render your 3D if you want to mess around with the muzzle flash later on in the pipeline!
