Season 2/3 predictions: Xavier/Magneto/Beast/Rogue/Nightcrawler team stuck in past Egypt will probably follow the Rise of Apocalypse saga. Jean/Scott in the future will probably follow the Summers Rebellion saga. Forge/Jubilee/Sunspot in the present will probably form the New Mutants era. Then when all teams reconvene in the present timeline, present-day Apocalypse will ressurect Gambit as horseman Death and revive Wolverine as horseman War. Then when he's defeated, Onslaught will show up.

I don't think they ever found out Apocalypse's name is En Sabah Nur in the old show. I'm guessing Kang rules ancient Egypt as Rama Tut. The X-Men are going to help En Sabah Nur defeat Kang and En Sabah Nur will steal Kang's technology and become Apocalypse but the X-Men will take Kang's time travel device and return to the present.

His best friend Xavier, loyal friend/former lover Rogue, friend Nightcrawler who went thru it with him in Genosha, and long time respect with Hank McCoy. Jubilee and Roberto were on the ground when the asteroid exploded so they are probably still in the present. This does raise the question why they aren’t at the manor with Forge (and that also applies to Cable) but I guess will find out in Season 2. As for Storm, Morph and Wolverine my guess is that they were taken by Apocalypse (present day) and they will become his horsemen alongside the resurrected Gambit.
