While Mihawk was badass, like REALLY badass, and he was nailed great, I want to appreciate the fact that they didn't waste much time with Krieg (because, let us be real, he had a badass design and great fighting style, but... that is literally it) and brought Aalong for the plot designed for Krieg, but they still brought him in just to give Mihawk a badass entrance. They could've put in some throwaway pirates, but they brought Krieg in. Nice.

great adaptation, I thoroughly enjoyed and I'm looking forward to season 2, I mean they should just save us all the anxiety and go ahead and greenlight at least 6 seasons. ;) all joking aside, I think Netflix needs to have better long term vision for its shows. Making a 1/2 season cancellation show (especially cliff hanger) basically makes the series dead weight for the service. Pretty much every show they do (minus proper limited series like Queen's Gambit) should be given proper endings, lately I haven't been bothering with a lot of season 1 shows because of this but with 1 piece, looking at reviews, I couldn't wait until season 2 ;)
