Clean build, also props to the music choice on this one. Jungle on the riding section works so well and I've found GMBN is consistently using great, fitting music in the videos.

It's a supremely solid bike for the FoD. That being said, Neil's factory yellow giga was loud yet tasteful. Wonderfully playful chassis and more capable than I will ever be! Love mine (albeit in the sage green)

That bike looks awesome Neil. A less experienced rider like myself would probably not really muck around too much with bike settings but you being a serious rider, it's great seeing all the adjustments you have available to you on your bike. Nice one.

Needs a fidlock bottle so you don't scratch the frame sliding the bottle in and out... Best thing ever and almost invisiable when you don't run a bottle

Heya, I've got a Giga 290 M and also using an AXS Dropper Post. If i put mine as low as you have it in the video, i am for sure running the tire into the saddle. I have to put it about 10-15cm higher until i have full clearance. Either you haven't used all the travel yet or well... i don't know what else. You ou running 27.5 in the back? I thought you said 290 in the beginning...

I recently got my Giga Elite (yellow) and was keen to see what dream upgrades Neil was going to add. Guess my question is...why not a coil shock when most owners are moving from air to coil? Love the digital drivetrain idea...can you post a components list so us owners can see our aspirations/shopping list 😁😁
@1brenmaster Жыл бұрын
I run both. Coil shock for holidays and the DH days and swap out to an air shock for enduros. It's like having two different bikes. The coil ( fast shock) is super buttery while the air shock offers a better platform for peddling. I can use the leverage adjust on the frame to get both shocks in the sweet spot for each. It's a great system.
@mrvwbug4423 Жыл бұрын
The X2 probably came with the frame and he didn't feel like switching it out. The Giga 290 also doesn't have the most coil friendly leverage ratio (60mm shock stroke on 170 travel), the recommendation on Gigas is to run the 297 mullet version if you want to run coil as it has a 65mm shock stroke so plays nicer with coil.

Why do people in England have the front break on the right side
@gmbn Жыл бұрын
It's throughout the UK, and a few other countries too! It goes back a long way, but it has to do with the fact that we drive on the left hand side of the road, whereas countries that have a left hand front brake will typically drive on the right hand side of the road.

The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.
