Cannot thank you enough I have been struggling with this for two days. Taking online statistics is a bad idea, but you made it very logical and now I understand. Thank you thank you thank you! ❤️

Most explanations of P-Value on KZbin are not clear at all. Some do not include the alpha threshold for the interpretation of the P-value. They also explain that the 5% shows that there is only a 5% chance of rejecting the null hypothesis. This is the best and clearer explanation out there❤

Hi there, I'm completing a research class in my NP curriculum and you've pretty much summed up 3 chapters in a nicely explained 16 min. video. Honestly, statistics is such an abstract topic, but you've managed to clearly explain and correlate concepts in a very logical and understandable way. I will be referencing your video in some of my discussion boards. Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Great job!

One thing that I would point out is that a p > 0.05 DOES NOT mean that there is "no statistically significant difference" (see 10:09). It only means that we cannot tell if there is a statistically significant difference.

I still have issues understanding the p-value. If it is, as you said 7:02 then having a high p-value, therefore a high probability that we will again get a difference of 20 between the two groups, would that no indicate, that there is a difference and therefore the groups are not the same? Why does a low probability for a difference indicates that they're not the same?

most important information for me was understanding the meaning of p-value, because I thought rejection the null hypothesis meant automatically the alternative , but I can now see that is only a measure of how compatible our data with the null Hypo.

I've conducted a study on the effect of a nitrate supplement vs placebo on a anaerobic sprinting exercise. I have measured peak power output (PPO), relative peak power output (RPP), anaerobic capacity (AC), and fatigue index (FI). The p values were as follows: PPO 0.06, RPP 0.04, AC 0.03 and FI 0.88. Given that my null hypothesis was "acute nitrate supplement will not improve power output..." should I accept the null because PPO only shows a trend or reject it because RPP and AC show significance. I'm leaning towards accepting the null but it's just a bit confusing because part of my results are significant but I don't feel I can justify the alternative hypothesis on those
