ROFL...I love that you are so ghetto and unprofessional on the video and don't care! LOL, but, seriously, I want to THANK YOU for one little thing I learned in your video that saved me $1000 from getting the Mixdeck Quad. I tried repeatedly getting Virtual DJ to work w/the software they gave me but the analog mixers didn't work. I just got the Pro 7, and changed the settings to ones you mentioned (didn't work before), and voila! No Mixdeck Quad rush for me!

yea the shift is for when looping, it changes the size from 1 bar loop to 2-4-6-8-16-32 bar loop , when moving the shift to the left the loop gets smaller and starts to repeat more gives it the stutter effect .

@Mr707headband You need to make sure you have the USB in the back of the Mixdeck plugged into your Computer/USB source.

@DJKlownin whats up bro, yea i had a problem with that in the beggining, you cant record through virtual dj or traktors internal recording set up using there UI (user interface) mixer because the numark mixdeck is only MIDI through the cdj's and no the mixer that is anloag not MIDI so you have 3 options 1. Through The mixers record outputs into your computer with a split y-cable 2. From the record outs to an external recording device just like the digi 003 rack i showed in my videos......

@sergi044 on virtual dj there is no sync button you have to sync it throught the sync button on the UI for the software for virtual dj le, on traktor the tap button on the laeft side of each plAtter is the sync button on TRAKTOR ONLY though on virtual dj the tap button works as a tap feature to fogure out the correct bpm if you think the current bpm they chose is wrong ...... hope that answered your question.....

I have the same set up, if your decks stops working there should be a setting on your laptop software titled something like "output source". It will look like it's on "external source" meaning it is on your decks, but it's not. I click the box that says "internal source" than re-click "external source" under mixing options and it fixes mine every time! TIP THOUGH KEEP YOUR VOLUME TURNED DOWN THO, if you leave your volume really high it makes a really loud noise and can fuck up your speakers

@emptyology ha glad it helped, yea it works good its just you got to know how to work around things like the correct bpm and beatgriding because sometimes its not always accurate but thats more with hip hop, but dance, house etc.. are ususally accurate, theres alot of softwares for djing but its what you can afford i use traktor and virtual dj i think those are good programs, theres a a dj program by m-audio called torq i like that program because it analyzes the correct bpm

If only I found this video a couple of days ago when I got my mixdeck. Would have saved me a headache. As for the software, does Virtual DJ work well with it? Are there any other DJ software besides Serato, Traktor, Virtual DJ?

Hi, I live in Portugal and I'm interested in buying a Numark Mixdeck in USA. As the frequency and voltage varies from USA to Europe, I would like to know if the Numark Mixdeck power supply has a selector to change between 115v/60Hz and 230v/50Hz as other Numark products (such as NDX-400/800/900) or if I will need to buy a new power supply to be able to work with the Numark Mixdeck here in Portugal. @101diegoguy you might want to re-install the mixdeck again making sure the ixdeck is on and hooked up via usb to computer before you install the software that might help helped me out with alott of things...... thats weird it says to get tht efull edeition cause im still using vdj le lol i dont think vdj is worth that much to buy traktor is bout the same range and does more and has more effects and better user interface look

Hello All from Canada - I just recently got.a hold of a Numark Mixdeck 2-channel controller - the exact same as in this excellent video - Mu problem is - I can't or it wont install the drivers or audio drivers Mainly, it would recognize any of my USB port - It fails on the install I tried this on a Desktop,laptop and Macbook - All have failed to install as they dontr recognize the USB ports - WHY? I can't wrap my head around it - I downloaded straight from Numark website the drivers that pertain to each computer - Windows or MAC - I'm having an issue trying to install the proper software for this controller - The Drivers specifically for Numark Mixdeck just like in this video - What I'm I missing ? Please help - Matt

when you buy the mix deck you get virtual dj le, which is just a little better than basic. i'm not sure if it does or not. sorry man, but if you buy a mix deck you won't have to worry about it anyway.

Hi looking for a little help to start off with i don't know anything about digital audio so i got a killer deal on a Mixdeck so i bought it so my problem is i can't get the usb flash drive to work this is what i did i have a macbook pro so i went to youtube and copied and paste the song i wanted then i went to a different site called you tube to mp3 converter witch converts videos to mps when i did that it automatically put the song in my i tunes and it plays perfect then i put a 16gig flash drive in my mac and drag and drop the song on the flash drive then i put flash drive in the mix deck and the screen says folder scanning it will not play the song so now I'm lost need help thanks

Put your master to max dude. your DB levels aren't even bouncing. Then you can adjust the gain to have sound tickling the peak line. This is how it should be live anyway
