Numark Mixtrack PRO scratching

a quick off the cuff demo of the numark mixtrack pro and serato DJ Intro. Credit card fader mod done to improve cut in other than that it's all standard stuff :-)
initial impressions are excellent. i doubt i'll be binning my Vestax for it but for a quick scratch at a party or for a bit of trick mixing it's great

Yes you can, you adjust it within the preferences on dj intro.

To clear things up, the Fader curve is adjustable in the software (Serato DJ Intro) by clicking into the settings button (the ? mark) and adjusting the curve to your preference. you can still scratch very well on the unit without any modding, I just like a sharp fader so i cut the dead space out with a credit card, like you used to do on the vestax 05/06/07 pro mixers before pro-x fades and innofaders were available. I no longer have this unit else i would record another video showing exactly how to do it, sorry :(

nice to see. finally got myself a new macbook as my pc is so old it just couldnt cope with scratching. got it up and running yesterday to find the cut lag on the fader itself miles out of wack..im going to do the credit card mod later tonight..its good too see the unit can be scracthed on properly.

yeah, used to do it on the vestax mixers. I cut a credit card up and inserted it inside the mixer to sharpen the cut in on the crossfader.

afraid not, but it's very simple, from memory, the unit comes apart by undoing all the screws, then there are 2 ribbons to disconnect before the upper plastic will completely separate. then it's a matter a trimming a credit card to suit and inserting it on the side you cut in on the xfader. you might need to make adjustments to the size of the card to adjust the cut in point to your liking, so cut the card a little big at first and trim it to suit :-)

its because the vid signal is little dissynced with audio. I've analysed some cuts on slomo (0.5) and even this way I not found its fake - all 2clicks, chirps and transformers well done by DubSe7en's hand. Practise yo cutz! :)
