I love these 160s, despite the quality not being as good an older Henry, the size is pretty good! I intend to get a new 160 when I can at some point, you've inspired me to mod it! Gonna enjoy it original on it's weaker motor for a bit first... :P

Wow Sam you went out ! That power socket is something to be jealous of along with the adjustable suction Numatic should do this! Thanks for another fun delightful video Sam!

It's cool isn't it! Runs very cool too, guess the exhaust air has a less restricted path than in a miele! Been using it on 1/4 power so 700odd Watts. Nice and quiet and perfect for hard floors

It suffers on the wrong carpet, the vax head is very clampy (if you know what I mean). Improvements can be made to the Powerhead but it's wicked for now!

Well done Sam! He sounds bloody fantastic! The only one in the world with a Miele soft start motor and speed control monitor? Quite possibly.sounds like no other Henry has before.maybe numatic will take a leaf out of your book and offer a proper speed control monitor knob on the production ones!

Just connect the live connection for the PTO socket to the now unused side of the main switch, it'll be completely isolated from the other side so won't interfere with the Miele motor wiring. Another thing to check is the csa of the cable, 2.2kW needs a minimum of 1mm² iirc, esp. for the length of cable on a henry.

I know this video is almost two years old but I just watched it today. I can understand the power nozzle mod but putting a Residential Miele motor in the place of the Commercial Henry motor was interesting. Well, I guess the Miele bags are quite expensive along with the filters so putting Miele power with the inexpensive Henry bags and attachments (since they are universal 1 1/4" or 32 mm standard) is probably better in the long run. Your enthusiasm made this video very entertaining. Cheers from Canada.

Ha thanks! It mostly started because I wanted to fit speed control, and it then quickly became easier to just fit everything! Have you watched the video where I fit a 12v power source and led lights in there? 😂 RGB Henry this is now 👌 To use its very nice, although I hardly ever run it on full power for long partly because these 240v 2200w motors like to burn themselves out and mostly because its too dang powerful 😂 1/3 power is plenty or it becomes difficult to use

Wow and cool nice job. Remind me of one that I got at a lawn sale. It was an Electrolux and they rewired it to have a powerhead. Thanks again for sharing and have a great merry Christmas

What would be really cool is if you could piggyback the feed to the PTO from the motor terminals. Then you'd have power regulation on both the motor AND the power head!

You couldve wired the other side of the swich (the unused contacts) to the red plug. This will not blow up your PCB because it is isolated.

That's so awesome, I wonder how fast it'd spin a turbine brush? I bet on full power it's suction is now way over 100 inches of waterlift and also over 120cfm of airflow 😁 Great video 😊

Amusingly I bought a blue Henry 160 this morning cos my loaned-out miele S316 was broken (hey, I paid £10 at a car boot for it about 15 years or so ago, packed with filth cos someone thought it was bagless, so, meh!!! Lasted long enough after the work I did to fix it!), still runs, but the lid's screwed, had the thought of motorswapping, but it seems 'lil Henry is now built for single-stage motors, rather than dual-stage, so, if I used my spare Ametek-Lamb motor or the Miele's motor, it may be too tall to actually fit, I'm no fan of single-stage screamers... :\

I dunno, it pulls 2100 Watts on the power meter! But tbh I don't fully know what miele it came from as the motor in that blue one may not be original! Alot more than 550w anyway, if I use it on max the dirt gets pulled in from very far away
