Numatic NV350: Inspection and cleaning the homemade metal Henry!

Brilliant machine. I have something similar but a fair bit smaller. But it's a numatic nevertheless. I love how someone thought that putting on their own smiling face would mimic henry.the only people people laughing now are us at the appalling job they did of it😂 Well done getting it off. A larger commercial numatic like this looks best without a face!

In 1976 this model was introduced by numatic known as the caretaker this was a multipurpose vacuum except water this vacuum was also advertised for cleaning fireplaces this models first machine was the nv250 they had 2 metal clips on the side with a rubber bumper there were 3 variants the nv250 nv300 nv350 all in different sizes in the late 70s they had been fitted with a NU3F814G motor rated at 800watts these machines were used by telecom I think it's called and some by British gas in the 70s-90s In the 80s-early 90s they had the D2-1004N motors rated at 1000 Watts both motors were a 2 stage 2 fan motor and were extremely reliable these had the 2 clips on front like this one In the mid 90s they had a 1100w UD11054 Panasonic motor this was used up to 1998 if memory serves me right they also had the bottom remade it had holes in instead of the gap This was later known as the nvq this model was known as numatic vacuum quiet hence the name nvq this had sound dampening which was foam around the entire machine these machines were amazing in 1999 these machines were fitted with a Panasonic UDS1053SN really unreliable motors but had some power behind them known as the nqs range in 1999 there was a model known as the millennium edition only came in the 250 size The steel chassis machines fitted with a UDS1053SN were made up to 2004 I think and replaced with the DL21104T twinflo motor seen in many of the henrys now and were known as the nqs250b this model was made in 2 variants nqs-22-b and nqs-21-b rated 780 watts Only in 2 variants I know of now 250 and 350 this machine has a nuplug which is a kettle lead and can be easily replaced My apolagies on the random lesson on a couple year old video! Just thought it'd be interesting

It’s all interesting. But strange how with all of the development they don’t have a “best” Henry that is cheap and lasts forever.

The hook on the back is for the cable, the brush and tool holder weren’t around until 2004.

I have model older model without power take off. I need to replace the hose assembly but do not know if new hose assembly will fit onto hose connection. Ideally would like to fit the 38mm hose if possible. Any help, suggestions or part numbers would be appreciated.

I reckon it will fit. it is a standard barrel connection used on all numatics.

@@bootsowen OK, that might have come as a plain unit, if one wants eyes on it then put white & black eyes on it exactly like the official Henrys, that being done by a good artist
