I was blind previously, thinking God to be an egomaniac and bigoted taskmaster esp after seeing Rev 4:11 that all things were created "for His pleasure". But having experienced His grace and love, l now understand that without His moment-by-moment watchcare and sustenance, we would have been long lost. That's good not to marry those that aren't Christian or of the same faith. Paul warns about this. But to NOT marry just because they're not Adventist, that's not biblical. A lot of the things Adventists believe are traditional and there are things they hold to that are not in the bible, and not set in stone. I do believe that people have allowed sin to enter the church, but do you guys know why? It's because the Adventist teaching has gone right along with the other protestant religions. The penal substitution is one of the teachings that is very unbiblical. I don't agree with the Catholic church, except on this one point. How can God punish God?? If Jesus is our substitute, and is punished for our sin, we can just keep sinning blindly. We don't have to be held to a higher standard. Look into the difference between design law, the law of love, the law of liberty, and the law of worship, versus laws imposed by human beings. This is teachings by the seventh day Adventist Tim Jennings.
