They are charged and focused and have the skill and charisma to be the GOAT. Please spread the word ❤. They just need to be found out by wider audiences globally. The lyrics are even more compelling, not just a standard antiestablishment song. It’s a long story so will not go into details here but the 3 left their previous 5 ppl group named King & Prince in May 2023, which was the most talked about and controversial move in the J-Pop scene then that was announced at the end of 2022. So GOAT is a manifesto for them to show the audience their new vision and how ambitious and exciting that new world is through their first work.

You say their name as Number i as each of the members has an i in their name. The members used to belong to a very successful group (King & Prince) however, their old agency was VERY heavy on censorship and these members wanted more freedom so this is a brand new start for them! Their lyrics are even more interesting when you know a little of their history.☺️

One of the best songs you've ever heard!? Yay! Way to go, Number_i !!!!! You were wondering what the group name means, right? Well, Yuta Kishi came up with the name when he was on a taxi and it contains several meanings - "number one", "only one" and "love". Kishi said in a livestream in Oct. 2023 announcing that they formed a new group: "Number_i" kind of looks like "Number 1" when seen not so closely. It is important to aim for number one, but more important than that is the journey we take to get there, how we can shine and enjoy in our own unique way, and how much fun we can have with our fans. "i" can also mean "love" because love is pronounced "ai" in Japanese. Several people already commented, but they were members of a very successful Japanese boyband "King & Prince" and the lead track of their album released in June 2022 was "ichiban" meaning "number one" in Japanese. "ichiban" was an epoch-making track for them and caused a lot of buzz mainly in Japan. So I believe they all feel attached to the track and that is one of the reasons why they use small letter "i" in their new group name.
