This is Russian sourced, Spanish language, numbers station V07. The transmission location for this specific schedule of V07 has been RFDFed to far Eastern Russia. This station transmits on Sunday mornings (UTC). This is the third of three transmissions this day, the first at 0200 UTC on 19172 kHz, the second at 0220 UTC on 17472 UTC, and this third at 0240 UTC on 16272 kHz.
This schedule of V07 transmits every Sunday morning (UTC). It varies the times and frequencies across the year. The frequency for this transmission was 16272 kHz, in USB mode. The message consisted of 112 five digit code groups. As you can see, the conditions were quite good, with a reasonably strong signal.
The lone "1" in the callup indicates there will be an actual message sent, if instead there was a "0" (zero) sent this would indicate that a null message was being transmitted, with no coded information.
Recorded at my location in the Mojave Desert, California, USA, on 03 March, 2024, 0240 UTC. Receiver used was an RFSpace SDR-IQ, the antenna used was a log-periodic pointed at Asia.

Theory is, these short wave radio transmissions are coded messages to spies operating in clandestine missions. These were used much more in world war 2, but they have been in continuous use since world war 1. Look up "numbers station" to learn more if that peaks your interest.
