I had the same doubt, I think it's because 1/5 of oranges first basket is taken out and that is put into the second basket, initially in the given question it's said that together 640(means A+B),so since the amount of oranges taken out in the first basket is same as the amount of oranges that is put into the second basket,in the total 640 there is no change (remains same)so they equated I guess (Sorry for my dead English 😅)
