Difficult one regarding the Influenzo. She's like your 'Gone in 60 Seconds' Eleanor and your battles with her really put your channel on the map. I'm sure the road tests are easier to film (and much much cheaper) but it really was the captivation of following basically a supercar being fixed by a relative novice (no disrespect intended) with the equivalent of a Haynes manual. For regular folk like me that's fascinating (and inspiring) to watch..

A sad day. I started watching your channel from the first Ferrari video and really enjoyed the content on this car and all the other since. I do prefer the videos where you weee problem solving and repairing as opposed to the review stuff but I realise this is a business for you now so you have to chase the views. Don’t get me wrong your car reviews are great as you have the ability to retain knowledge and real it off well in the videos without a script. It’s impressive as I can’t do that with my watch repair ! I’d still like to see the occasional repair video though its what founded the channel and for us long term subs I think we would appreciate it. 308 has always been a special car for me , I can never afford to own one but watching you with yours has been a joy so I will miss that . Must say Jack your Ferrari looks stunning in this vid, I'm not up on my prices but 60k sounds good value to me. I worked for a Peugeot dealer in what I think were there best years, from 90-98 so worked on new and used 205,309,106,405 and the 306. Again 9k for a sorted GTI6 sounds good to me, especially when you look at prices of 205's now. All the best with the sales, maybe throw in the Pyjamas with the Ferrari as a sweetener 😂

Haha, I bought my mk1 in 1999 because my daughter was on the way! Now or never. I still have it 24 years later. Jack, you’re definitively keeping the right car especially for roads like the Thurlbury TT near you; I took mine over a couple of months back and it’s a hoot. My independent Lotus mechanic who has serviced mine from day one reckons they are soon to shoot up in price due to being old enough to be able to import into the USA as a classic car, possibly by +50%. You will be wise to get some decent tires and setup done as it’s another level of handling for sure, good luck and thanks for such an entertaining channel.

Hi Jack! Sorry to see the cars go, but everything for a reason. My advice on a nice sporty and daily driver, the Alfa Romeo 159 SW Ti with the 1750tbi engine. The Ti trim makes the looks! Had mine for 3 years and was so much fun to drive and a beautiful design too. Never had problems as long as buy one with a good history etc. The diesels seem pretty good too, but I just loved the 1750 because it’s a very lively engine and gives you that Italian touch which you will miss now the 308 is going 😢. Best of luck!

I don't think getting rid of the Ferrari 308 is a shrewd decision I think these will go up in value and styling by Pininfarina's Leonardo Fioravanti is one of the most beautiful cars ever made! That exquisitely sculpted bonnet is a sight to behold! plus the connection with Magnum, P.I. only adds to the appeal. The other two cars are less special not rare so no great loss. As a daily have you considered something special rare? a Lancia Thesis? they have high mileage capabilities! (known in Holland as the Italian Mercedes!) A Golf come-on! is not cutting it on this show! Nobody is interested! just saying.

After contemplation, I would replace Pepe with a Peugeot RCZ facelift, still keeping the Pepe brand, 4 seats, massive boot, double bubble roof very practical for day to day and future unicorn. Second choice BMW Z4 Coupe, drive it forever nice boot all the mod cons, driving pleasure slightly heavy on fuel but the sport button compensates and unicorn status. Instead of the Bentley there are so many great Maseratis with Ferrari engines for a bargain prices if you know what to look for, my favorite is still the Spyder in silver with oxblood interior. As for the 308, the only car you can really replace that with is the 288 GTO because no car on this planet looks better - especially a 77 that you brought back to life, the Lazarus Enfluenzo is part of our KZbin culture now - keep it. Although its not really my recommendations its just my garage but you and JayEmm have been so inspirational in my collection I just had to let you know, love your channel I've been restoring my 308 GTS '77 for 15 years now and had nearly all the same issues you did, I wish you were around when i started , but loved solving the problems it presented, and so satisfying when you hear that V8 burble the way Enzo intended Look forward to seeing your new garage e buona fortuna per tutto amico mio!

You’ve got a car from the 80s, 90s and 00s there. Quite a neat line up and a nice angle for the channel which, let’s face it, focuses on modern classics. Why not stick to that formula when considering replacements? Personally, although I’ve followed the Influenzo journey from the start, and loved the videos themselves, I’m not particularly stuck on the car. Likewise the 306 and Bentley. If you’ve reached the end of the road, move on. My suggestions (based purely on personal preference but which seems uncannily aligned with your own) would be: 70s/80s: Beta Montecarlo, Datsun 240/60/80 or even 300ZX, Citroen, Alfa Montreal 😃 80s/90s: TVR Griffith/Chimera, Alfa 164, 996 (back to the 964 days!), early Boxster. You could run a 996 daily and troubleshooting that would be great viewing! 90s/00s: Saab 900, Aston DB7/9, Audi S5, BMW 645 Can’t wait for updates!

I LOVE the idea to keep the Elise - and I wished I kept mine, too... but I sold it and now I regret. About the Ferrari... I think it should not go. Only if you already have some successor in mind? Best wishes, I like your content a lot (I am with you since Evora, which also was such a great car!).

I started watching your channel because of the Infuenzo and have loved most ofthe cars you have reviewed. Definitely good taste. I'm sure you are underselling the 308. I would happily pay £70k for that car if I didn't have the Dino

I haven’t watched many review videos , they are done better on better cars elsewhere. The poverty project cars, especially the Ferrari. is why I subscribed.
@superseven7947 Жыл бұрын
Agreed I subscribed to see the problem solving in the project cars..much more interesting than reviews that alot of other channels do

Unfortunately the spannering simply did not get enough views to keep the channel viable.. the reviews are way more popular.

Parting is sweet sorrow but there are times when one needs to part ways. The FERRARI is beautiful and that would be the one for me. Good luck with the sales Jack.

Maybe you would like Alfa GT 3.2, Brera or even 156 / 147 GTA?

Sad to see the Influenzo go but sometimes head has to rule heart. Golf GTD is one of the best all rounders I’ve had . Racked up nearly 80k miles in mine. I’d be quite happy with just the Elise as a weekend car!

The market is about to plummet. Not selling any of ours. Our Elise is just a lovely little fun box, Golf Country whacky and good for jobs (roof rack and towbar), Integrale evo2 (we bought for 11k so I dont care, could never afford one now), Golf GTI mk5 5-door bog standard still like a new car. Would be nice to see a channel who visits people with cool cars and has a bit of story. Rock up with a Fiat Dino and have a coffee and a chat. Just a thought.

So glad to see the 308 going specially as I suggested you didn't buy it in the first place. I must say I have thoroughly enjoyed your journey with it and could forsee most of the nightmares it brought you. Even tried to help you find new /used heads here in Italy. You mentioned getting a Pantera, a great choice, but do consider a Mangusta, possibly rarer but imo far prettier and a fabulous car. If you do I can tell a great story about one, and G.Agostini, back in 1970. Love the cats tail🤣👍🇬🇧✌️

Unfortunately Mangustas now go for 3-400k!!! So can’t afford one. Will be filming one in next few weeks though!

Sorry to see the 308 going a real Ferrari, May I suggest a daily driver I think my favorited all rounder would be a Audi S3 hatchback or if the budget aloud RS3 Sportback/Hatchback both great fun very practical and a cut above the VW Golf.

Get yourself a Mercedes E350cdi Coupe. Brilliant car. Late 2011 onwards with the straight DRL lights are 265bhp. Brilliant comfortable mile muncher V6 Diesel. Search for cars with Harmon Kardon as they tend to have lots of extras.

Was going to suggest a golf, but you suggested 2 generations newer 👌🏻👍

The reviews are great Jack. Interesting cars and well researched giving insight lacking in many KZbin channels. At the same time it was the Influenzo that got me and many others watching. The struggle to get to the bottom of it was compelling... a bit like project Binky it was compulsive viewing. Doing a Panthara in a similar way might just provide a balance to cater for all audiences! Best of luck moving forward.

You need another Italian classic to keep the momentum going, if you sell the Infuenzo 🙌🏼

Good luck with the fleet changes and for what it is worth I agree used car, especially inflated modern classics from covid are on the slide. I've also got "out" of all but 1 and feel relieved.

Have to say as a sensible but slightly fun daily the Golf GTD is probably a really good choice or the Skoda VRS option if you want a bigger boot . Good luck with the sales
