@@rainstorm6707 Actually, 4 spatial dimensions is arguably the coolest number to have in general, in some ways. For every number of dimensions above 4, there are only 3 regular polytopes, as opposed to six in 4D space, 5 in 3D space (the platonic solids) and infinite in 2D space. That said, 5D space has cool stuff of its own, I'm just saying there's an argument to be made that 4 is the "best" number to have.

I saw this video when it came out while i was up past my bedtime on a school night, falling down a math concepts rabbit hole and fell in love with Klein bottles. I'd forgot all about this until a few weeks ago i got my first Klein bottle, and now I've found my way back to this video that started it all. Thank you for making such an interesting thing interesting, i wish everyone was this passionate about amazing things like this in math or science.

Cliff Stoll is exacly how a teacher should always be: Excited about his subject, and his excitement being contagious. I was fortunate enough to have a teacher like this in university - though not quite as "bouncy" as Cliff :-) Still, he managed to infect me with a passion for a subject I considered completely boring up to that point, and I am forever grateful for that.

This explains 99% of why all that hates math say it's difficult. They only see what's taught to them, they couldn't see the other side of things. Everything has a concept behind it, a meaning, which could be the very reason that existence exists. Anyway, just trying to understand the concept of 4D hurts my head. I don't know if I'd ever understand even an iota of the concept of 5D. Can someone please explain what am I called? I don't know what you call a person who seeks to comprehend the universe

@@cryingwater for understanding higher dimension try linear algebra and if you already know calculus try an introduction to topology or geometry try go back and forth between the pictorial/conceptual image and the algebraic/conceptual understanding of it find an abstract link between geometry and algebra find what makes a torus a torus whats the most important feature in that shape then for higher dimension you can't visualize it pictorially (nobody can) but you have an abstract feel for it which is the most important because it engage much more the imagination which is abstract not pictorial in essence

@Chaim Mendel you my friend are asking questions no one has the full proper answer to. It's the reason scientists and mathematicians come up with these type of things, the why what when and how. As for the *quality* I think he means that because we are unable to fully comprehend the 4th dimension it inherently makes us in the 3rd lacking in quality. Ignorance is bliss.
