I have to laugh at myself practising the tongue twister. I remember my teacher taught us (back in 21 years ago, and I have forgotten a lot about the language) about the tongue twister, but he included the words that have meanings of 'snake' and 'death/dead'. How is it?

Wow you started learning Chinese very early! Honestly I haven't heard any tongue twister with the words you mentioned, which pronounce shé for snake蛇 and sǐ for death死. Maybe your teacher created something to help you identify the difference?

Yes, probably. Or he did that for the ice breaking. He also taught us using Chinese songs from that popular singer: Theresa Teng!
