Faramis as a mage, Estes or Diggie as a roam, Fredrinn or Barats as the jungler, Masha as the EXP lane, and Moskov as the gold lane and i don't think anyone would want to deal with such a team, extreme burst, extreme tankiness with matching heals and extreme mobility will end up getting anyone handicapped for sure.

He has some flaws that are bit to big of a problem, he only has 1 form of cc, and it requires him to be too close to the enemy. He's really ally dependant, you can dmg some enemies, but nothing is really stopping them from attacking you, and since you squishy, most of the time it ends with you dying. His ult has a delay for some reason when it's practically just Diggies ult, but without cc immune, it's not that big, and you get stunned when you get killed in his ult. His ult has a really long cd but it's not really that fair of a trade off because it's a downgraded version of Diggies ult. His second also requires him to be super close. So he's a mage, that builds full magic items alot of the times, that needs to be at kissing distance with the enemies to get something out of his skills. And his ult has a really long cd, that has delay before it activates, that cannot be activated when you're cc'd, and it basically puts you into a winter truncheon when you die in it.

As a faramis main also, this one of the reasons for me to grind for faramis in rank matches just because of the pick rates. I always use the same build for mage or roam role which is; Arcane boots, enchanted talisman, ice queen wand, lightning truncheon, divine glaive and genius wand.

He has a high skill floor but also high potential ceiling whereas the common mages are in the moderate to high skill floor and similar potential ceiling. For soloqueue with random teammates, that skill floor is further elevated because of the players' differences as well as lack of coordination.

I think with the series of nerfs on him, I preferred using him as a sort of counter against tank-setters (Atlas, Tigreal, Gatot, etc.) if Diggie is banned.

For me a hero who is also a rare gem is rafaela for she has a low pick but has a decent winrate for her ability like pokes heals and aoe stun ultimate but the main problem is her passive that needs her to die in order to be used but it rarely makes a difference in battle over all i think she is a great pick for she can counter heros like natailia Aaron and tanks with conceal but the most great thing about her is the fact the she can also remove slow effects so heros like valir lylia and yve are also somewhat counter by rafaela plus if she has magic items like blood wings or ice queen wand then good like with that for she will be really annoying and if she has a full 40% cooldown she will heal you every 5 seconds which is really helpfull for the late game but in the early game is where she is weak for her is one of those heros who eats way to much mana so if you ask me on how to buff rafaela a simple mana reduction on skills and a bit less cooldown in the early game and to balance it just make her heal a bit weaker but over all she is a great support and if you need a build for her i got you Loot boots (avoid cc) Enchanted talisman (mana and cd) Flask of the oais ( better heal) Ice queen wand (slow and pokes) Necklaces of durances (anti heal) Immortality (avoid deaths) Lastly make sure to have favor blessing since she is always played as a roamer and if you the enemy has an anti heal item replace ice queen wand with holy crysta to boots your healing hope this guild helps your rafaela game play :)

Otherwise, it is better to pick Mathilda for extra blink, Floryn for Global Heal, or even Angela for Counter. Faramis, Estes and Diggie are best suitable when you are in a team.

As a Vexana hard carrier who got through Legend and Mythic (now in 42 stars) with just this hero (save for some bans) I agree that a knowledgeable Faramis user is a formidable opponent (and a trusty companion)

I also would like to include the underrated generally good EXP laner on the series: Gloo. He can deal tons of damage even with just HP items, can easily distract the enemy core damage dealer to the point that the core damage dealer will be slain and he still have good sustain. Unpopular on ranks? Yes, most of the time but compensated with a good win rate. Pro scene? Usually drafted as an "surprise" pick and Flap/Renzio are prime examples of good Gloo players.

Played gloo as a roamer in glory, hes viable if you have a smart team because noone can contest the litho because of your "level 1 power spike." Then you can just try to imvade while you're at it lmao. Anyway, its been several seasons with 40 games and 60+ winrate so its good. Also i dont fear vexana, she literally cant do anything because while she thinks she can, doesnt she know that i can just... Bully her with my skill 1 and abuse my passive dmg reduction lmao so i can still make her and her teammate vulnerable due to immobilizing them and can just ult and pop it onto her cause shes stacked anyway. The only thing i fear is faramis because his ult removes your mark. Against his damage Athena + vengeance is good enough and also it happened once actually, while faramis skill 2 was bouncing on my ult before it reached me i managed to attach to enemy mm and it was an instant kill lmao XDDDDD and i survived pretty easily as well and just kept the fight going. Gloo roam is however hard to pull off against a smart enemy team though because gloo sucks at protecting your team, has 100 atk and 0 protection capabilities which is kinda why i love him lmao

I think the reason Faramis is often overshadowed in the midlane is because solo queue does not favor utility mages until you reach higher ranks. The difference being that although Novaria and Vexana can be classified as utility, they are NOT that aggressive compared to Faramis. It’s the same case with Valentina

The reason why they have a high winrate isn't because they're the best heroes, it's because the players that main them play them so much to the point where they got good at them where they're winning games. High pick rate heroes that require skill usually are on negative win rate (below 50%) since there'll be lots that play them but not as good as the other people that do therefore failing to maximize the hero's potential, causing a possible lose. TL;DR : Win rate doesn't mean that the hero is the best of the best, it's just that with low pick rate heroes w/ high winrate, no one plays them, and that the people that do are so good at them that they always win. Hope this clears misunderstanding!

Faramis is just a perfect mixup of a poke/burst with a utility/survivability and control mage. Making him perfect for both solo queue and 5-man. However, due to recent changes of items especially in mage items. His ult effect could just easily be burst down by a lot of burst mages (including my main Odette hehe), putting his whole team in a real danger when it pops out in their wrong positions. So yeah, he is really not that popular in high ranks anymore even in Mythical Immortal. Unless matched with a good team composition or in a team party.

As a fara main even played him pre revamp, i feel he's been nerfed into the ground now. You can barely crack a 60% wr in normal mythic rank in solo queue, where it is much easier to stay in the 70-75% with other heroes. The reason for this is the nerf on his passive. It used to be so that you could collect souls from all minions, monster and heroes in the game. And 40 stacks gave you immediate respawn after death. Now you can only get it from poking heroes. This was the ONLY advantage he had that made him a reason to really be picked. The appeal, especially because he is a poke hero, was that you could endlessly harass much stronger heroes with no fear of dying. This still didnt make him unbeatable, but if you played him right, you barely missed any game time. And again, that was the ONLY appeal he had in comparison to others. His damage is still strong, but too low for early to mid game. His ult get cancelled in turret dives or against assassins immediately. And if you build dmg only he is so squishy that the only thing the enemy team needs to do is to focus you the entire game and you can barely do anything about it. There is no more maverick plays with this hero. He has always had shortcoming and disadvantages, but his passive made up for it. If you add the unconventional playstyle you could surprise, and i still do, many people, especially late game. In epic it is automatic win. But unless you have a pro squad or a solid trio with very specific combos like Barats, Baxia or Carmilla, he is a dead end in mythic. So damn sad (And P.S. the old character design was classic and awesome. He looks like a rip off comic con cosplayers now. There has been a major shift to generic 'pretty insta' type faces on all the heroes since it became more popular. SAD!!!)

blindly accepting pure statistics can also be dangerous. For example, heroes with low pick rate tend to have elevated win rates due to the fact that most who pick them are mains/one tricks/gods, and hence their win rates do not 100% represent how strong they are in the current meta

His first and second skill drop orbs when they hit enemy heroes(or spawns like Vexana's ult or Kupa). Also everytime an enemy hero, creep or minion dies near Faramis, there is a small chance for them to drop an orb. picking up each orb grants you 2 magic power and 3% respawn cooldown reduction. You can have a maximum of 40 stacks, but upto 30 get consumed after u respawn for a maximum of 90% respawn cooldown reduction.

faramis is a team fight hero, use your ult when a team fight is initiated, or when a ganking happened near you, for his passive just use skill 2 on enemies, the more stack you have, the more damage you have and you'll respawn faster if you die

Mid lane use magic boots, enchanted talisman, lightning truncheon, divine glaive, holy crystal and blood wings. Good cool down reduction and shockingly high damage when on 40 stacks. Holy crystal passive synergises well with his passive. For gameplay, the trick in team fights is to let front liners take agro and then you run in and hook as many people as possible with skill 1. Then drag them all to one place and use skill 2 for high damage. Gotta maximise the bounce. The ult is self explanatory, use it in the middle of the fight when the front liners have commit to an attack. Don't lose your extra HP bar or the ult ends for everyone. I like using flameshot to knock enemies away after the skill 1 skill 2 combo. When clearing waves hit as many minions as possible with skill 2 for max bounces. Ideally catch the enemy team in that as well. Stacks are guaranteed if you hit enemy heroes so fly to them with skill 1 and poke them constantly with skill 2. The stack will usually fly to you. Also turrets + skill 1 is very effective

They made a change that his ult cd now starts after the cast just so he CAN use the fleeting time. Not 100% sure so try it out in classic or better yet, training room. Spawn a normal bot under your tower so it respawns under your tower, build fleeting and just use ur ult and apply 1 basic atk against the enemy layla and that should get a kill nd trigger fleeting time as your ult is ticking.

For Sun, he's food for most EXP laners since they have powerful AoE skills and this made him hold being from being an competitive EXP laner. For Argus, also not an good pick for EXP lane since the main thing that made him hold back from being an good damage EXP laner comes from his long time "item dependency" problem. Agreed about Dyrroth and YZ though.

The only reason why Faramis fall is because of the delay and CD of the ult because he is mostly use as a utility support Second...long Range heros can make him miserable because he us Sooo...melee .. and the ult nerf... is probably the downfall but I still use him

I spam faramis on rank game usually they will automatically ban diggie soo they could use a cc hero faramis ultimate really turns the tides and his pulling can be use to perfectly set for you team tanks makes him really annoying he still got some damage especially on late game with full stacks

Faramis is a very niche Hero. You need a lot of condition to be right for Faramis to work... Imagine playing Faramis only for your team to focus on Solo fighting...and waste Faramis' Ultimate... Also most Heroes with High rate and low pick rate are niche heroes played by specific Hero specialist..
