Applying collagen actually can increase levels in the skin, it was shown in a clinical trial from 2010: “Effects of sizes and conformations of fish-scale collagen peptides on facial skin qualities and transdermal penetration efficiency”. Collagen is bioactive and can reprogram skin cells to make more collagen. I think the myth that collagen is just a basic hydrating ingredient came from dermatologists who aren’t very knowledgable about the science lol A lot of derms wrongly think collagen in serums is a whole, unprocessed molecule. But it’s almost always a hydrolysate - as studies have shown for 20 years that this is the active form. I just checked this serum’s ingredients and yep, it’s processed collagen that can easily penetrate the skin. So should be pretty effective (one would assume!)

I love this serum. Do I think it’s an essential skincare product-no but I think it is an excellent hydrator. Some nights I don’t use a moisturizer with it. And put me down as another who does not notice the fragrance. Have you tried the No. 8 serum? I’m tempted by the growth factor peptides in it.

Speaking of falling I went to Ulta last night grabbed the ordinary Marine serum ( because of u)and the La Roche posay lipkar lotion and I got the DermE crepe skin erase repair balm cream because the ingredients looked good besides the lavender oil tried it because the CP DMAE reversitol and its a body product so hoping the essential oil wouldn't bother me but hate the smell lavender but anyway I went for TO serum and an hour later I dropped the bottle over and spilled exactly half of it right after I opened it 😢 I was so mad I had to tell myself it was only 10$ and at least u didn't spill the 65$ Niod CP serum or the Dermtly needless serum . Still so annoying to love half your product an hour after u bought it . Have u tried the lipkar lotion in the pump bottle ? Not the balm cream one it's really nice and of course like the only LRP product that was not on the sale 😂it was like that with both things I grabbed the Derma E and the LRP I thought it was on the sale when I picked them up . I still haven't tried numberzine yet their is a few things on my list from them. I bought the new Farmacy toner waiting for it to get here.

i haven't tried this specific one but used to really enjoy the numbuzin no 2 serum. i think some time in the last 1-2 years they reformulated and added fragrance. i wonder if it's the same one others report. it is lemon-y and pretty strong. kind of like grandma (in a bad way) bathroom soap. turned me off numbuzin no 2 serum altogether.
