Hello Mam. In Problem 2 I see that the active component of the rotor impedance was divided by slip when calculating rotor current corresponding to maximum torque. If I calculate rotor power factor, would I also divide the active component of rotor impedance by slip? I’m asking because in the beginning of the video, when you introduce the guiding equations, it appears to me that it would be the standstill reactance multiplied by slip, in both equations for rotor power factor and rotor current. 🙏

If you divide numerator and denominator of the equation (given in slide 2) by slip, you will get the equation used in problem 2. Actually the rotor reactance changes due to change in rotor frequency since X=2*pi*f*L

For problem #5 (2/3 max torque at starting…I believe she used X= negative b plus or minus the square root of b squared minus 4ac over 2a.

Yes. I have used quadratic formula to find out slip at maximum torque.
