in second order differential of U with respect to x ,denominator should be 2(h^2) since the total width is h+h where i m going wrong sir

FEM allows for flexible mesh generation, which is suitable for complex geometries. FDM typically uses structured meshes with a uniform grid, which makes it simpler to implement but less flexible for complex geometries
