Kinda agree with that sentiment too. As someone who was there when Pokemon wasnt as beloved as it is today, and it was seen as an embarrassment to like pokemon in public, as someone who love anime when it was seen as much more weird than it is today, and many other things. Ive like and participated in so many things that most people found weird or off, but the one thing Ive never shown or admitted to another IRL person was liking kpop. Thats just a whole other level. Not only because kpop can be a level of embarrassment on its own, but because if that person likes kpop too, you never know what kind of fan you are getting. Is it the chill person that just likes it as another form of music, or its the overly obsessive stan thats memorized someones kprofile, and has 4 binders worth of photocards, and all 8 versions of a single mini album.
