Good to see other people have bummer draws. It seems like it's not hard to build good decks in this format, so it narrows down to luck, much more than other formats. Very simple format and doesn't seem like the most fun. I did go 7-0 my first draft but had an Archfiend of the Dross almost every game.

"ichor" is pronounced "eye-core". i think he must have been corrected on stream since this set has a lot of ichor, whereas Brother's War just had the retro artifact lol

Most of my sealed games go like your first two matches. I've gone 7 wins a few times but I more frequently go 3 or less.

Ive got 5 draft trophies but only one one sealed out of 7 sealed seams super frustrating I just don't understand it. I have tried a little of everything only won once because the sealed deck looked like a perfect draft deck

Every single person I've faced in a dozen or so sealeds has had draws like your opponents in that match. Trophied the first time, but have had my butt handed to me most of the time since. For some reason, sealed doesn't play that differently from draft in this format.

I appreciate you being candid about the unfunness of the format. Every update the MTGA algorithm gets a little bit better at enforcing the 50/50 win rate. This means going 3 and 3 is the standard, and attaining 7 wins and only 2 losses to max out rewards in the format is going to be very rare. Skill at deck building and play are secondary to the algorithm, which indeed, makes for very unrewarding gameplay.

i think they only implement rigged shuffle at the beging of a new limited set release. it goes away after alittle bit

I love how the games are rigged on arena. I have had several games where I go 4-0, 5-0 and then just not allowed to win another game. I either face decks with 3 mythic bombs in it or get ripped off by the shuffler. It’s something ever single time. Tell me that they don’t have programs within the game that makes sure you don’t do better then they want you too. If you could see the decks I’m getting too. It’s insaine. I mean I draft decks that should easily go 7-0. And I understand that even with a deck like that, you can have 4-3 or 5-3 runs. It’s bc you the gems I have were gifted to me, they don’t want me making anything extra off of it. Gotta love online gaming; I hate it personally. Love U and your content Kenji, sorry to use your platform to gripe but it’s getting to me.

This format is toxic. Just like new capenna was. You lose cuz something etbs and you don't happen to have the answer that specific turn. Such a dice rolling random rock paper scissors format. Wotc is smoking too much

Yea this is by far the worst format I've played in years. Much worse than capenna imo. The least skilled draft format I've maybe ever seen. Play, draw matters wayyyyy too much and there are a dozen bombs that are legitimately unbeatable. Doesn't even feel fun when you have them because people just scoop on cast trigger.

Why did they add a ton of indestructible and hexproof to an already fast format. They're the two worst mechanics because you can't even play the game. Then you have toxic a mechanic that makes the game faster and another thing you can't interact with.
