In order to keep our recommendations up to date, we maintain a 'Buyer's Guide' (with a wide spectrum of models, and a lot of technical and lifestyle-related information). Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. You can access the guide (in addition to our 4-part video series on Choosing the Right Stroller for your Lifestyle, and other helpful content), as well as contact us directly on Patreon: www.patreon.com/posts/stroller-buyers-37953864 These materials are also available via channel membership on KZbin: www.youtube.com/@BarnevognverkstedNo/membership , and BuyMeaCoffee: buymeacoffee.com/thestrollerworkshop

I would love if you could do a big comparison/analysis of the Joie strollers. Not only because they're quite popular these days especially among people who want an inexpensive all-in-one option, but also because they're almost identical to the Nuna Models. Which makes me wonder whether they're lacking in quality in comparison to Nuna, or if Nuna is just a huge rip-off (the latter being my guess tbh).

@@signediaz2469 yep..and it's crazy how much more they charge for the Nuna models in comparison to Joie. But I'd love to know if there are some (probably minor) differences in the structure or if it's all just cosmetics.

Loving the videos and the channel, very informative. I was wondering which stroller should of i get out of the Baby Jogger City Tour 2 or Baby Jogger City Mini 2, they are pretty close in price near me and cant really afford to go any higher.

Not your addressee, but I would choose neither of those: The City Mini 2 has dual front wheels, which can become clunky especially on rough terrain, and it's almost the same size as the CM GT2, in which case it makes much more sense to go for the latter (a decent 3-wheeler). The City Tour is an ultra-compact four-wheeler with teeny tiny wheels and smaller in width. So unless you really just need an ultra-compact for occasional travel with a small child, I would not choose an ultra-compact for daily use at all. If you plan to go off on rougher terrain every so often like a park that's not cobbled, a cart road, or gravel, then definitely look into the Baby Jogger City Mini GT2. It shouldn't be any larger in dimensions than the City Mini 2 (other than 3 more inches in height) but it's definitely an upgrade in terms of handling and terrain capability. In my country the CM GT2 is currently on sale everywhere. I think last time I checked it was under 200€ for the stroller and around 300€ with the bassinet included. Definitely take an extra look at the third option, the GT2, before choosing either the City Mini or the City Tour.

@@Marina-zb2iz Hi thanks for the reply, that was the 1 I was ideally looking to get but that is about £350 cheapest without anything else here in the UK (will also be travelling with it)

@@rudenutt Bummer! I just checked the prices again and they're back up to their original prices (nearly 2,5x as much as only a few days ago). If you're not in a hurry to buy a stroller right now, it may be worth monitoring the price development in the coming weeks. It feels like especially the Big A randomly raises and lowers the prices of this stroller all the time. You can make a huge bargain...or not, depending on which time of day you refresh the page. Another idea is to check the 2nd hand market. BabyJogger isn't exactly a brand with a high resell value (at least in my area), so you should be able to get the Elite or the City Mini GT/GT2 in very decent condition at very affordable prices. The bassinet is often sold separately for under 50€. You might consider buying the stroller new when it goes on sale, but buy a 2nd hand bassinet for a few bucks. The few months that you will actually be using the bassinet aren't worth the money for a new one. But that just my opinion, and I understand not wanting to go beyond your budget. Good luck!

@@rudenutt can you order off German Amazon? The City Mini GT2 in Briar Green dropped back to under 300€/ 250 pounds right now. I dunno what they'd charge for shipping but that might be an option?

What are your thoughts on Maxi Cosi strollers? In particular the Leona
@Marina-zb2iz
@Marina-zb2iz 2 жыл бұрын
I guess he's not a fan (and yes, I watch too many of these videos..lol). The Leona looks very identical to the Cybex Eezy, and is probably a brother/copy of some other Goodbaby International stroller. He reviewed the Cybex Beezy and Maxi Cosi Lara in the '30 strollers review' video, and did an extra review of the Maxi Cosi Lila XP. You might want to check out those videos if Maxi Cosi is a brand of interest to you. The only Maxi Cosi stroller that I heard mostly good things about was the Mura 4, but as far as I know, the brand has discontinued that particular model.

I have to say I disagree with you that the suspension on the Balios S Lux feels cheap/unsturdy. The Balios S Lux drives like a dream when we tried it compared to the Nuna Mixx Next, Tavo Next & Uppababy Vista 2 strollers. But agree the seat material can be of better material and the basket can be larger. I like the Balios S Lux but there's no accessories or travel bag for it. So, we returned it. I love the all-season seat of the Nuna which is why I'm torn btwn the two but it has similar seat material as the Uppababy strollers. Those seats are polyester and feel super cheap. And I don't like the deep, bucket drop seat either, and am disappointed with the 50# weight limit on these expensive rides. So, I'm also looking at the Silver Cross Comet Eclipse. My 18-month-old baby is on the larger size (29.10 #s and 32" tall) so none of the Nuna products work for us. Not many options out there for bigger babies that are not jogger strollers. Thank you

Suspension felt better on Balios than on Vista... 🤨 I agree that 3-wheelers are usually the only option for larger children - just the nature of suspending the seat from the chassis vs having a reversible seat frame.

@@BarnevognverkstedNo, thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it. Are there any other strollers you would recommend that might work for us, not including a 'jogger stroller? I would like a reversible seat since he is still pretty young and would like the option to have him forward/rear-facing as needed. For a child of his age/weight, in your estimation do you think the Cruz v2 would work or some other stroller? They say that the seat was redesigned for taller children but the Vista seat we tried didn't seem like he would fit for too long in that seat either. His head was almost at the canopy even when it was extended. The legs were not an issue. We also try to not buy anything that says Made in China" products but it is pretty difficult in this industry. Thank you.

hi! I was wondering what stroller you ended up getting?
@odalysmayan4744

@@karlasantos3999 Hi! We bought and tried the Uppababy Cruz v2, Nuna Tavo Next and the Cybex Balios S Lux. We ended up with the Uppababy Cruz v2 stroller. It's not our favorite, but we decided to go with that one due to the large, 30 # weight capacity of the basket. We absolutely loved the Cybex Balios S Lux stroller and the Nuna Tavo Next stroller, but went with the Uppababy instead because of the basket and slightly larger leg rest room. The Cybex Balios S Lux 4-wheel independent suspension was incredible. You could go from concrete, to grass to asphalt that you could not feel it. The near-flat recline seat with was really nice too. It allowed him to sleep and keep his legs stretched unlike the Uppababy Cruz v2 stroller. The main reason we did not keep the Cybex Balios S Lux was because (1) the very small, 10# capacity basket, way too small, (2) I found it really difficult to close the stroller. It took longer than advertised, and (3) it seems very bulky (open and closed) and wide. The Nuna Mixx Next (we tried at Nordstrom) was very pretty, but that's really all it had going for itself. The part where the kids legs rest was super flimsy and would cave in if you pressed on it, meaning that once he got a little taller and heaver, we would not be able to use it. The suspension wasn't too bad either. The Nuna Tavo Next was beautiful. The color and the material was dreamy. I also really liked the flat seat recline, good suspension and that you were able to open the canopy in two ways to get real good ventilation while they were sleeping, but the basket was too small, it was not reversible and leg rest was not long enough for my tall baby at the time we tried it. You could tell that his legs would be dangling soon, so we returned it. The Uppababy Cruz v2, has an amazing 30# capacity basket, which is really the only thing I like about it (& the reason we bought it). The seat material feels cheap and scratchy, and I really hate the bucket seat. Not sure why anyone would create a stroller with such a seat. The telescope, 2-step, handlebar is advertised for tall parents, but Dad is 6' 4" and he still has to slouch a bit when pushing stroller; they can't stretch their bodies or legs. It's also advertised as for taller kids, but that's not really the case. My almost 3-year-old toddler is a little over 38" tall and he has his challenges. has to sit with his legs bent unless I release the legs and he doesn't like that because his legs then just hang. Their Cozy Ganoosh I think they said its for kids up to 40" tall, @ $165, it's kind of hard to justify the product. Overall, I think the Uppababy strollers are just a hype because the owners are from Massachusetts, but they're really nothing to brag about. If it was really mean to be for taller kiddos, then I think they could do a better job in their designs. And honestly, I saw almost every single video review from all the stores and read all about it, and I have to say not sure why so much hate for the Cybex brand and so much love for the Uppababy brand. In order of preference, I would say Cybex Balios S Lux, Nuna Tavo Next and Uppababy Cruz v2. Hope this helps. :)

Mixx Next is cheaper than the Balios in my country. And it includes raincover, bassinet and carseat adapters. With the Balios, ot's ONLY the stroller itself.
