This council have absolutely ruined this once lovely town. They are just demolishing and degrading everything they can get their hands on. Debenhams, Co-op, Queens road car park, all gone. So many shops standing empty and many derelict buildings left to wrack and ruin. Over three thousand people petitioned them not to remove the lily pad fountain but they are still going ahead. Then they have the nerve to keep increasing taxes whilst sitting in OUR nice warm town hall as the residents are getting poorer. Thanks for the comprehensive video though. 👍🏻

Thank you so much from Alberta, Canada. My first Saturday job was at Dewhursts in Queens Road, then I switched to selling books on a Saturday market bookstall outside the Coop, just opposite DdiMascios.....we did have cappucinos in the '60s!!....great icecream....except for Nick Paladino's ( never tasted better anywhere!) who trundled his little cart with a silver dome around Graham Street and Bath Road. Great memories!

that vid must have been taken in mid afternoon because treacle town ( nuneaton ) is normally alot bussyer than that and the shutters will be up go back on a saturday thats market day
