Hmm...dont know why people rate his awareness so highly. Wouldn't getting caught offside umpteen number of times suggest quite the opposite? Not to mention the missed passes in counter-attacking situations. Dude is just a phenomenal athlete who had 1 freak scoring season in the Portuguese league, and Klopp in his naivete got seduced, largely due to the one UCL tie against his defenders. His in-game intelligence and technique are so poor, it wouldnt be an exaggeration to term it amateurish. Michael Edwards, with all his business nous, is going to struggle to recover more than 30M for this clown.

The Good: His positioning is very good. He has excellent pace. His link up play is decent. His pressing is good. The Bad: Gets caught offside more often than he should. His finishing in a Liverpool shirt has been shambolic, there is no other way to put it and I love the guy. He lacks composure and by lacks I mean like he doesn't have any. I would still give him one more season and not sell him. Even if he isn't starting I would give him game time.

Many Liverpool fans believe that they need to a get a proper striker and replace Darwin Nunez. I don't think that Nunez has been a flop or a bad signing, he's a good player and that's all we can say about him, but it should be concerning that when it mattered the most in the title race, he didn't deliver and was missing easy chances that costed Liverpool points at the most important stage of the season and now they're not winning the title. Liverpool signed him for big money to produce iconic match winning performances and while he had a good season on paper, the fanbase of this club believe that they need a number 9 if they want to win the premier league and compete for other trophies. I don't see them going out for a striker this summer although his wastefulness is a massive problem for Liverpool and it will be because Diogo Jota's finishing ability is amazing, but the guy can't stay fit, he's always injured, Cody Gakpo is hit or miss, Luis Diaz full of energy great on the ball excellent dribbling, yet has poor end product, so apart from Mohamed Salah who isn't getting any younger and has shown signs of decline lately, who's banging in goals for Liverpool and this has caused them to be out of the title race especially when Nunez can't finish. Give it one more season if he continues to misfire blow hot and cold combined with Jota's struggling with injuries, then Liverpool have to go out and buy a striker then.
