What's amazing to me after reading the comments is how critical people are. Your guitar is ugly, your strings are buzzing, you're playing it wrong. Come on people, it's a pretty cool song, he's not performing he's showing how it's played. Learn to be grateful and your lives might not be so sour. Thanks Nuno for the vid. It's always been a cool song and is fun to play. The vid shows a few things I've missed. I appreciate you putting it up.

@Mike Lee That harmonic sounds very accidental to me. I think that guitar has a way too low action for an acoustic guitar, so the strings rattle terribly almost all of the time and some notes create harmonics "out of thin air". Another explanation could be a resonance. My own Striebel RS acoustic tends to do this on the A despite the normal action, because the bodys resonance frequency is around 110Hz.

@toxicab2312 жыл бұрын
last part is funny. he has this thing about not teaching to play any of his song to the detail. he always insists that the student should figure it out the part by ear. i don't know if that is considered selfishness or maybe tough love to his fans. Either way, Nuno is cool and one of the best rock guitarists of the 90's.

@jjuanzambrano I don't know what model, but I am almost possitive that it is a Washburn brand. The way that the inlays are put on the edge are givaway. Nuno's electric guitars are also Washburns so......

If you WANT to do a harmonic just lay your finger softly accross the string or strings over the metal fret bar. It will only ring out over certain fret bars.

Anybody who plays the guitar will tell you that this song is quite difficult to play.
@TolgaPsl4 жыл бұрын
I don't think so. Maybe it's hard to play because you aren't accustomed to fingerstyle. Actually, I'm not fingerstyle player, too. But i learned that song in 1 day. Chords are easy, fingerstyle not that easy but when you understood the pattern -- 'cause almost all the song have the same pattern -- you actually got it.
@shrednoob52332 жыл бұрын
@@TolgaPsl the chords are easy, but the rythm behind it and taking notes how nuno actually plays it makes it a little bit harder for intermediate players.

Kelly S i always wanted to learn violin
@foofoobear667 жыл бұрын
Hey Ifan.....I have been playing violin for quite a while as you have seen. Although, I have had only years of formal lessons....Time left me for a few years and then I was not able to have anymore formal lessons (eh, I tell you that I wound up in a foster home for 4 years and hadn't played for quite a while.) And my mother SOLD my violin.... But when I got back on my own, I bought another violin...You see my mother sold my old violin for cash obviously. Anyway, once I got myself a new violin, I began playing again..although I forgot how to play notes and just started to play by ear. Which came to me quite easily....And have been playing that way, ever since....The violin is NOT easy.....In fact it's "ONE" of the most difficult instruments to play. But once you get the hang of it....I would suggest some formal lessons....As much as you can...There is a lot to learn. Once you have. Unfortunately, I will not tell you to give it up, and then learn how to play notes on your own....I did that because I loved the instrument and wanted to be really, REALLY great at it...That came from many hours of practice and learning notes by ear....I wish I had been able to continue with formal teaching. But I was unable to afford it any longer....And is why I learned how to play by ear, vibrato and all else. My mother is now proud of me and my accomplishments on the violin, but I don't give her a lick of credit for the fact that I can play very well to this day...She was completely whacked out of her mind that I continued and never gave it up like she did..(she was partially formally taught for 2 years,, then gave it up, because she hated it....I loved it....and is why I continue to play to this day!!! Good Luck to you, Find a tutor and keep going, my friend..!!!!

It's G (the form with the third fret on the first and second strings), also on your question mark (he just strums 5-4-3-2 rather than 4-3-2-1), then on to the chord you describe which is called Cadd9, then Am7, C and D.
