I am glad you showed us the finished piece! I watched the making of one and wondered how it came out!

OOOOooooo !!!! How exciting !!!! I am sorry that it was so hard for you to find, but I certainly appreciate seeing the finis. I LOVE the way you worked the yarn into a rose, and also the way the bottom of the tunic is made. I see now what you meant about the shoulder issue. I still believe it can be salvaged though. Do you ever wear sleeveless tops ? I can see that the tunic could be reconstructed, so that you could use the sleeves, to make like wide 'shoulder 'straps' for lack of a better term. If you used the edges well, you could add the sleeve fabric to so that the pretty natural edges could become a beautiful addition to the 'scheme' of things. You could also wear it over a t-shirt, and it would be lovely. It would be a shame not to wear it often, as it really is lovely. What a lot of work, but you certainly have a beautiful piece there !!! THANK YOU !!! I'm sure all of your followers are equally as pleased as I am, to see the finished product... which is actually a piece of art, as much as a garment. Bless your heart Christi. Happy creating to you !!! xoxo

That is a fantastic idea Judi! At the time I made this I was so focussed on having a "no sew" item that was totally seamless, but since then I have really embraced the idea (and the look) of sewn pieces of Nuno-felt. Actually, I'm a big fan of mixing stuff up as much as possible now. Almost all of my "knit" items are a combination of knit and crochet and some even have some felting thrown in there for good measure. It's just more fun....for me ;)

OK Silvi, I was considering ordering some more silk scarves for Christmas presents anyway, so I'll go ahead and make a video in the near future for you. It really is fun. Hit that bell notification if you haven't already and you'll get a little notification as soon as the video goes up.

You’re too funny! What is the wooden thing called? I can make those on my wood lathe

It's a drop spindle. They are very simple, but some wood turners really like to take it up a notch and make some truly beautiful spindles! This is just one of a few that I have, it's the first one I bought. The heavier the round part up at top the better it is for plying yarn. This little spindle only works for the thick single strand yarn I typically use. I suppose if I made lace weight yarn it could be plied with this light weight spindle, but either way, they are incredibly useful items. Have fun with your wood turning!

I’m still trying to get my head around getting the front joined to back with no seam.

Long ago I made the original video that explains this and because it was filmed so badly I set it to private, but since it does actually explain the entire process I just re-set it to "Public" and put it in the playlist called "Nuno-Felt Tunics". KZbin has switched around the creator studio again, so I'm not sure how to add an end-card link, but it's up there for you Sharon. Hope it helps
