What a wonderful way to sort out the fiber! I have been making cobweb scarves for awhile now and this is by far the best way of doing the layout that I have ever used. It is fast and easy with far fewer holes than just trying to ease the fibers out flat and even doing it using a fork. Thank you so much for sharing, I really appreciate it.😊

I made a scarf over the weekend and used your technique to stretch out the wool. It worked perfectly! Thanks for sharing. 😊

Thanks for sharing this idea. What is the length of the pipe and aprox the end size of the scarf ?
@FeltingwithMarikah2 жыл бұрын
This pipe is 24 inches long and 3,5 by diameter. The scarf will shrink depending on your felting techniques.. I I’m trying to roll it longer to stable the fiber, but shrink less. I make it different sized depending on a piece of silk I have.

Could you pls tell me how much yarn to buy to make this cobweb scarf please and did you us extra fine roving or what type of roving did you use? Thank you

I use fine merino wool or wool/silk blends when I buy commercial one. I make my own blends on my drum carder too. Usually I use about 100 gr (3oz) I have some kits with nice hand dyed magilan silk at my MarikahFiberArt Etsy store. I can make by order too.
